When I booked the room I requested an accessible room I always buy the insurance. When I went to check in I was told the computer was down and I wasn't given an estimated time of when it could possibly be back up so I went out and sit in my car to wait for me to be able to check in it was actually shift change and the front desk person was cashing out and checking out and had told me that the next clerk on shift would be there shortly while sitting in my car and the switch had already happened the person that initially waited on me she didn't let me know that the computer was up because a couple had come in and the person that was on shift check them right in no problem it seemed with the computer at all so I got out of my car went in to check in was told there were no accessible rooms available and what he had downstairs was in the back and none were accessible the best that he could do was give me an upgrade that had a microwave and refrigerator, I had no need, it was late. I told the clerk that I would have to take whatever was available downstairs. I request an accessible room because I am handicap ped with balance issues when I went to take my shower the next morning I almost slipped and fell in the shower which had no handrails for handicap and the only thing that saved me was grabbing a hold of the shower curtain from falling down and falling over out of the tub. I submitted a request to use my travelers insurance but have not received a response from hotels.com
