This place exceeded our exceptions. A nicely renovated boutique hotel that kept the charm of its illustrious past (hardwood floors, mahogany doors, beautifully tiled deep bathtub) and added modern necessities (great shower, comfy beds n bedding, magnetic passkeys). It’s well managed and staff was wonderful: Attentive, competent, friendly. Grand lobby was comfortably furnished, nice for meeting up with friends. Wide variety of restaurants nearby. And the price was a bargain for the area. Parking’s available but we chose not to rent a car and got around fine with hired cars and the subway (purple line’s just a block away). Highly recommend it.
