We LOVE to stay at The Dolphin. It has become our go-to place to stay when we come down to the Outer Banks. The staff is very friendly! It's right on the beach and so close to everything else. Plus, the very kind and relaxing vibe will bring us back time and time again!

Wonderful time. Close to things we wanted to see. Clean, staff were wonderful, and it was right on the beach. In the bathroom, there wasn’t any place to put toothpaste toothe paste, face soap etc. Our microwave didn’t work well. But, we had suxh a wonderful time and we would definitely go there again

Our stay was great! We were in Nags Head for a surf competition. The weather and swell forecast were both constantly changing and the competition continued to go on hold while we waited for weather and wind to clear the area. We were unsure of how long we would be there, and our check out date was likely to change. The owner was extremely flexible with our checkout time and accommodating to the fact that we might need to extend our stay. Luckily, we did not need to do so, but we truly appreciate the flexibility and consideration for our situation. The room was clean, quiet and comfortable. Would definitely recommend and would definitely stay here again!

Only a 2-night so didn't have a chance to interact with the staff other than check-in & check-out at which Jim was very friendly :) A very nice motel on the beach which led to a very relaxing stay!!!

This is probably the best motel I’ve ever stayed at. Very accommodating, the pool is in a great location for windy days. Being able to walk right onto the beach is amazing, and it’s a beautiful beach. The pet friendly environment is perfect for animal lovers. Plenty of places to eat very close, some even in walking distance including a convenience store. Staff was awesome, friendly, and very hard working. If I was criticize anything, it would just be that the bathroom in our room atleast, didn’t have a fan. Hot showers get very steamy. Overall an amazing place , beautiful, very enjoyable. 10/10 would recommend.

So happy we found this motel at the last minute. Would stay again but request a room with sliding back door facing the beach. From our room it was only a couple minutes to the beach. Prefer queen size beds however we made it work with the full size beds. Friendly staff and the room was clean. Bring hair dryer or ask at desk if available(?). Walking distance to the pier and some restaurants. Close to Holy Trinity Catholic Church. Really enjoyed our stay.

We stay every years
The way the room is set up the bed is behind a wall and the air conditioner is on other side of wall. So you have to lay at the foot end of your bed to feel any air conditioning. Room was hot, I had to buy a fan just to circulate the air. Bring a blanket, the blanket they supply is old and very thin. No typical amenities like most hotel/motel. The only real plus is the dog fee is only $10 per night compared to other places. Staff is very friendly and accommodating. Pool is clean but not heated.

Beachfront Motor Lodge
Well-maintained older Motor Lodge style motel. Very friendly and accommodating grounds and pool very clean. Walkway directly onto beach behind hotel walking distance to Jeanette pier and several restaurants. Only complaint would be a lack of parking and the AC units in the room need to be bigger.

Oldie but goodie!
This is an old, basic motel, BUT it was quiet and very clean. The beds were comfortable and it was nicely decorated. The price and convenience to the beach was perfect. We would definitely stay again.

The room was small but not uncomfortably so. The bathroom was real nice. The location of the property is great and the access to the beach is a huge bonus. Our room had a pretty odd and unpleasant smell, it’s honestly the only real complaint. Parking is kind of annoying, but it isn’t a real problem.

I do not like the fact that someone was spraying the parking lot with Roundup. Roundup causes cancer and kills animals. There are so many dogs there that now have Roundup on their paws.
