Great location and comfortable beds
Staff are helpful and friendly. Excellent location. Easy to access to public transport, as it's near bus and train station. We can reach the bus stop towards Edinburgh Airport in just a few minutes walk. Bed is comfortable. The hotel is old but is well-decorated. I had a great time in Edinburgh with my boyfriend.

A nice piece of heritage property that is so convenient for transportation and dining, and walking to Dean Village. Well worth the value compared to other properties around. Getting breakfast thrown in was a pleasant surprise. Wifi was a bit unstable where I was on the top floor and TV could be bigger.

Check-in was very easy, super friendly staff. We did not understand the ratings because everything important about the House ( no elevator ) came in an Mail 2 Days before the arrival. Just one thing about the House, we think its because you cant open the Windows: there is a bit Mould in the Bathroom corners. Not dramatic, but its there. The Rest was all Perfect. 3 min Walk to the Tram Or Bus Station.

Good location. Comfortable bed and pillows. Quiet rooms. Had some free pastries and hot drinks by the reception. Downside is the weak flushing of the toilet and water can get too hot in the tap and the hot and cold faucet are separate so you cannot mixed them to control the temperature.

Hotellet lå i en meget gammel bygning, som lugtede fugtigt. Rengøringen var ikke god nok, og der var ret koldt om aftenen, selvom det var i juli. Men de ansatte var venlige og hjælpsomme.

Accomodatie is heel erg onderkomen. Achterstallig onderhoud en schoonmaak personeel loopt rond met luchtverfrissers om de geur van schimmels en opgehoopt vuil/stof te verbloemen. Verder is het heel rommelig, totaal niet opgeruimd wat je van een B&B, pension en/of hotel mag verwachten. Ook was er geen föhn aanwezig terwijl aangegeven was op de site dat deze aanwezig zou zijn.

Yleisissä tiloissa likaisia pyykkejä ja roskapusseja lojui lattialla, pyyhkeet rispaantuneita, itse huoneessa ihan siistiä. Viehättävä vanhanaikainen sisustus, talon henkeen sopiva. Rauhallista.

A nice hotel in a building with a lot of character. I liked the retro feel of the bedrooms but can see why other may say it's dated. It does have a lot of stairs and no elevator (as advertised) but this was not an issue for us. Staff were welcoming and helpful throughout our stay. The location is good at about 20mins walk to the Scott monument or Grassmarket.
