The property is beautiful, however it’s showing wrong location on Google maps. Casa de campo will be the right spot. Our room had fireplace but due to no ventilation room gets smokey. Amazing staff! Internet pretty weak and inconsistent. Amazing view of the city. Get ready to walk up some steps to get there!

OUT OF BUSINESS
No one answered the doors or the phone and I ended up staying at a nearby hotel. Looked it up and it stated that it was closed permanently.

Amazing views
Perfect place for our one night in Cusco. Only a 7 minute walk to the Plaza de Armas. Was pretty chilly, but there were lots of extra blankets.

nice, amazing view, loved the Firepit
I stayed here 2 nights, and actually the smaller double superior room I enjoyed more than the jr suite. Overall the stay was great. I made a fire both nights and was comfy. It is cold at night, but plenty of blankets to use and the morning sun overlooking the city is fantastic!! will be back one day. gracias por todo

Treehouse feel with brilliant views!
Brilliant views, very friendly staff but very steep steps. Heidy is awesome - English speaking and on top of everything. We were there in Winter - the heating is pretty lame. There was a fireplace in one room but the logs were too long for it - the lit logs would fall on the wooden floor - a definite fire hazard. All in all a great place and give the feeling of living in a tree house. Recommended 👍

I’d pass on Casa de campo in Cusco if i could.
Casa de campo would not be my first choice if I were to go to Cusco again. It would probably be toward the bottom of my list. The room was not comforatable. It was missing basic things like light bulbs and power outlets and a shower head. The bathroom had an awful smell that permitted throughout the entire space. The WiFi doesn’t work, that was the most annoying thing. The rest I could deal with because I was only spending one night, but WiFi was essential. My brother was able to connect on his crappy android device though. Also, there an inconveniently and dangerously placed pipe jutting out of the wall in the stairway, it almost caught me in the face on multiple occasions. The bed was not soft. We had a two bed room and there was only 1 spare blanket. I asked for another and was brought a dingy blanket that looked as though it had been stored in shed for a few years. Also, there was a very loud chorus of street dogs that kept us awake all night. eg the barking chain (see “101 Dalmatians”). It did however have a nice view over the city. And maybe this is just how the hotels in Cusco are. But it wasn’t something I’d want to do again.

Excellent views of Cusco!
Casa De Campo is nestled on the side of a hill in the San Blas area of Cusco, just a short ten minute walk uphill on little cobblestone streets from the Plaza de Armas. Our room was on the front of the building and provided us with lovely views of the cobblestone street below as well as the city of Cusco, including the plaza. We spent the few days around New Years Eve there, and although we were in the Plaza de Armas (and, really, you should be, too) for the holiday itself, for the days we stayed there following New Years Eve, we had the lovely and surreal opportunity to see leftover fireworks exploding in the sky for a few days afterward from the comfort of our bed. The staff were accommodating and helpful with all of our questions about what to do and where around Cusco, and even tried to help us sort out a few complicated arrangements for our later trip to Machu Picchu. I'm sure you'd love it there as much as we did.

Good value!
Great price, quaint hotel, helpful staff. It had cute little courtyards to enjoy your tea. They also served a simple breakfast everyday. The basic rooms are lacking in most modern amenities (AC, heater, hair dryer) but you can get them upon request.

Good view, good value
We enjoyed this hotel and thought it gave a GREAT value for the low price. As others note - the view is incredible. Great view from our room and very nice to eat breakfast in the dining room with the view in front as well. The heating in the room was useless and we were supposed to have a fireplace - although we wouldn't have used it - that we didn't have. Breakfast was nice, rooms quiet, - overall a great value.

Amazing view and breakfast.
Amazing view of the city of Cuzco. Probably one of the best views from a hotel room!! They also have a really good breakfast. I was so happy to have fresh fruit after being in Argentina for a week with only bread for breakfast. It was cool to have a fireplace, but I didn't use it.

Great view, lots of stairs
There are good things and bad things about this hotel; my main gripe is stairs. It's built onto a hill, and the stairs are uneven, so it was pretty difficult for us to get our luggage all the way up. Of course, my main compliment is the view! Getting up all those stairs was worth it to sit in our little sitting room, or even out on the common area, and look out over the area of Cusco. My husband and I got a bottle of wine and enjoyed the night on the patio. It does feel a little older, with some seriously creaky floors, but the staff was nice and breakfast was good.

Quite a nice hotel a little far from the main place "plaza de arma" but we really enjoyed the view, we enjoyed the little 5-8 min walk everyday, internet was OK for us. Staff was really nice. Breakfast very good.

Not a good location
If you stay there, be ready to walk uphill for a while because no one will drop you off at their door, and get a map to know where to go because the only help you will get from the staff if you get lost will be to walk out the door to see if you are around, i.e. they think you are dumb enough to miss their front sign. When you get to the room, they won't start the heater or tell you how to use it. BTW, the view you see in the picture if from their dinning room so don't expect to have a stunning view of Cuzco from there. Long story short, Do I recommend this hotel? No, Would I like to book another night there? Definitely not.

Needs improvement
We arrived late in the evening though we had made the reservation long before and had communicated with the staff that we were arriving late but they were not very prepared for us. They put us in a room which was right under the stairs which was very noisy especially in the morning when a large group of tourists came tromping down the stairs.

Almost perfect
We loved the rustic atmosphere and the location in San Blas. A very easy walk to the Plaza de Armas. Beautiful view of Cusco and we saw fireworks during the Carnival. Delicious breakfast spread, also with a view. Complimentary use of the computer allowed us to stay in contact with family. On the first night, our insomnia kicked in so we enjoyed the various TV channels in English & Spanish. Cute little dog on property too, his name is Osito el Gordito (little chunky bear). The only downside: we had a lovely tub in our room but were unable to use it because there was never any hot water. We asked the front desk and they advised us to wait about 20 minutes but only reached lukewarm temperature. I booked the room specifically for the tub and fireplace, it was a shame we couldn't use the tub (after a long hike at Machu Picchu). Would have been nice to soak our feet. Other than that, we were happy with our stay and felt welcomed by the friendly staff.
