The place is old! No bbq, I guess you just take one from the other units the owner informs me. Clean but seems over priced for what you get.

Really rustic!

The location is great, short drive into Canmore. Greeted by friendly staff. Chalets are very rustic, not a typical hotel/motel standard. The shower head was not repositionable it was aimed at the corner making it a challnge to wash. There is a decent size kitchen and its equipped with the essentials, which we didn't need. Overall, the chalet is tidy, basic accommodations. I did think it would be cold during the night but surprisingly the insulation was pretty good, and I didn't need to use the extra comforter that I requested. It was good for our one night stay, thank you!

Don’t set your expectations too high.

The owners were very pleasant. They told me to make sure I called them if I needed anything. When I checked out I was asked for any negative feedback on my stay, which I thought was a good way to improve customer experiences. The biggest negative for me was my cabin smelled like it had previously been smoked in. The shower is tiny and the bedrooms can barely accommodate a bed. Also the cabins are old and in need of paint and TLC. However, the cabin area is quiet and is a nice place to relax and priced better than most others. As long as your expectations are not too high, you should enjoy this place.

Reasonable for the Area

The good news: Location was great for our purposes, and price was very expensive for what you got, but very reasonable for the area. Everything worked! (faucets, toilet, microwave, TV, furnace. Mattress - queen was too small for us and dubious quality. Parking - though we parked along road to cabins like others, it looked like there may have been a small driveway for out unit. Since a small (300sf?) cabin, we had it all to ourselves. BEAUTIFUL view of mountains outside our unit. We like washcloths, but these were not available. The toilet was WAY too low for these old people! The complex itself was in sorry disrepair in some places (e.g. roofs, but ours looked fine). Perhaps the management is in process of fixing... photos in hotels.com don't prepare you for condition of property...

Great place for the family

Manage your expectations. These are cabins, it’s a short season and the nightly rate is up to 50% less than most. It’s not a 4 or 5 star hotel. But it’s fun, great for the kids, you can have a campfire at your cabin or there is a main area. Good WiFi and you can cook your own food.

Was okay- when I booked I didn’t know there was a fee for an extra person. I was honest and said two travellers but we shared a bed, so not sure why I was charged $60. I booked this because it was $80 cheaper than everywhere else, but after the fees and taxes I could’ve stayed somewhere a little more comfortable and more conveniently located.

Not so good….

The first cabin was dirty and had all faucets leaking. There were old cobwebs and the pull out bed was unacceptable with a lot of dust and old dirt inside bed. The second cabin was a bit better. Still had dripping faucets, had to ask for an extension cord because you could not run the microwave or toaster oven without one. A definite lack of outlets. The front porch step is dangerous. Staff was helpful but we had to ask for a lot of necessities to make our stay okay for what was charged. If not much is included, then staff needs to communicate this before booking.

A more affordable option near Banff

Selected these rustic chalets with kitchenette due to its proximity to Banff and for being more affordable than most other hotels around the region. We enjoyed the rustic feel of this chalet. Comfortable bed. Good kitchenette with full stove. Small shower but good water pressure. Quite clean overall and very friendly helpful staff
