Rosemary District
Rosemary District buzzes with creative energy where colorful murals splash across converted warehouses and artists work in open studios. This once-industrial area now hums with craft breweries, galleries, and farm-to-table restaurants clustered around Rosemary Square. The neighborhood blends historic cottages with modern condos, creating a perfect home base for art lovers and foodies alike. Getting around is best done on foot with wide sidewalks connecting you to downtown Sarasota just minutes away. Cozy boutique hotels occupy artfully repurposed buildings, while evening entertainment revolves around relaxed wine bars and brewery patios that close up by 11 p.m.

Bayfront
Sarasota's Bayfront neighborhood offers a dreamy mix of waterside magic and artsy flair. Palm-lined promenades wind along the bay where you can catch fiery sunsets or spot luxury yachts bobbing at Marina Jack. The purple shell of Van Wezel Performing Arts Hall adds a pop of color to your evening plans. Unconditional Surrender statue makes for the perfect selfie spot with the sparkling bay as your backdrop. Dining here leans fancy with fresh seafood spots commanding prime water views. You'll find mostly upscale hotels and condos for overnight stays, though they're worth the splurge for those bay panoramas. The area shines with excellent walkability, making car-free exploring a breeze as you bounce between cultural venues and manicured gardens.

Central Sarasota
Downtown Sarasota dazzles with cultural attractions that'll make your inner arts lover do a happy dance. The Sarasota Opera House and Florida Studio Theatre anchor a scene packed with performances, while Bayfront Park offers gorgeous waterfront strolls along Sarasota Bay. Art enthusiasts can hop between galleries and the Sarasota Art Museum before unwinding in the lush oasis of Marie Selby Botanical Gardens. The dining scene features upscale waterfront restaurants serving fresh Gulf seafood alongside cozy pre-theater spots. Most attractions sit within walking distance, though you'll find plenty of parking if you bring a car. Boutique hotels and luxury waterfront properties make perfect home bases for your cultural adventures.

The Circle serves as the island's vibrant heart, featuring luxury boutiques, art galleries, and sophisticated dining options. Beach lovers can stroll to nearby Lido Beach for pristine white sand, while sunset chasers get front-row seats to spectacular bay views. This refined paradise balances shopping indulgence with serene waterfront relaxation. Dining ranges from fresh seafood restaurants to charming cafés with outdoor seating perfect for people-watching. Sink toes into the powdery white sand of Siesta Key Beach, where quartz crystals stay cool even under the Florida sun. The Ringling presents a trifecta: European masterpieces, a Venetian palace, and a circus museum with miniature big top. Kayak through mangrove tunnels at Lido Key, watching for manatees that appear like gentle ghosts in clear water. Marie Selby Botanical Gardens showcases tropical plants in a setting so perfect it feels staged. St. Armands Circle offers shopping that doesn't feel touristy, despite surrounding tourists. Mote Marine Laboratory introduces sea creatures with scientific enthusiasm rather than showmanship. Sarasota Opera House delivers world-class performances in a venue intimate enough to hear singers breathe.

Art Ovation Hotel, Autograph Collection
"Excellent experience. Polite staff, clean room and Hotel, great amenities."
Kompose Boutique Hotel
"I have stayed at this property approximately 25-30 nights during 2026 while remodeling my home. The staff at this hotel equal the staff at properties that are 3 times as expensive. The front desk staff are always pleasant and dressed well. The proximity to the Sarasota airport is extremely important to me as I often travel. It is a 10 minute walk to the terminals. The rooms are always clean and the common areas are constantly monitored and any issues are quickly rectified. The restaurant has a morning buffet that is well tended by the kitchen staff and very clean. I would recommend that they start coffee service earlier In the morning. There are many early morning flights out of SRQ that require hotel departure before the coffee is served. The restaurant also serves dinner but I can’t comment as I’ve never eaten dinner there. There is a nice pool and spa on the East side of the building but only in the sun until about noon. There are not many lounge chairs at the pool but it is less than 30 minutes to some of the nicest beaches in Florida. Finally, the rooms are very quiet due to the solid building structure. I hardly notice the jets taking off from the SRQ runways which are very close to the property. Ed P."
Embassy Suites by Hilton Sarasota, FL
"Great stay. Very convenient location."
Hibiscus Suites - Gateway to Siesta Key
"La habitación y el baño limpios, la cocina bien equipada (nevera, estufa y microwave), la ropa de cama con olor a limpio, las almohadas suaves y las camas ni blandas ni duras. La piscina limpia sin exceso de cloro. Buena ubicación cerca de restaurantes, pizzerías y cafeterías."
Carlisle Inn
"Had a fantastic stay at the Carlisle. Staff was friendly and helpful. Rooms are well designed, clean, and well maintained. Breakfast was great as well. Location was very convenient. We will stay here again if we are in the area."
The Westin Sarasota
"This hotel has a great location. The staff is so nice they care you and go through all the details that makes you feel like home. The only thing was the breakfast that we found the bread wasn't fresh, the eggs tasted like boxed frozen food . The service was nice but too slow and meals were cold. I would recommend this hotel but please pay attention to the breakfast service! and thr service was too slow"
Comfort Suites Sarasota - Siesta Key
"Great room, comfortable bed, delicious breakfast, nice pool/hot tub and very friendly staff."
DoubleTree by Hilton Sarasota Bradenton Airport
"Great upgrade to a suite. Very quiet for being next to airport."
Ramada by Wyndham Sarasota Waterfront
"Breakfast good. Excellent service."

During your stay, you can explore beautiful beaches, vibrant gardens, and art museums, as well as enjoy birdwatching and wildlife encounters. Don’t miss out on the stunning sunsets and entertainment options that Sarasota has to offer.
- Look for last-minute deals on Hotels.com: Hotels.com offers DealsOpens in a new window to Sarasota, where you may discover discounted hotel options. You could find attractive last-minute offers by checking the Last-Minute Deals section, which may showcase options near your travel date. By enabling email alerts or push notifications, you're more likely to see flash sales and promotions, ensuring you don't miss a chance to save. Additionally, the Smart Shopping tool on the app allows you to compare hotel prices and amenities, so if rooms become available or prices drop, you'll be quickly informed for a potential last-minute getaway.
- Be flexible with dates: Prices can fluctuate depending on factors like the hotel's location, star rating, and the time of year. Being flexible with your travel dates may help you find a better deal on your stay in a Sarasota hotel. If you're interested in a more unique experience, boutique hotels can provide a personalized touch and sometimes offer better value. When you book through Hotels.com, we’ll inform you whether the price for your chosen dates is above or below the average. If the price is on the higher end, we may suggest alternative dates that could lead to more affordable options.
- Consider your location: Hotels near the city center usually tend to be more expensive, but thanks to Sarasota's great public transportation options, you might discover a more affordable independent hotel a bit farther out that’s still conveniently connected. If you're interested in exploring alternative, less crowded neighborhoods or even some lesser-known nearby towns, you'll often find excellent value for your money. Opting for these alternative locations could provide a more authentic and budget-friendly experience.
