The best in Kent

One of the best hotels in Kent and when I’ve been coming to you for 20 years is a favourite highly recommended

Night stay

Lovely service and nice night away! Pool facilities just lacked a bit of TLC, shampoo fallen off of wall in showers, sauna useable, hooks and some lockers broken in changing rooms. Breakfast was lovely and warm welcome upon check in and checkout. Would return but do not believe it to be worth the money paid.

An excellent and very relaxing weekend stay. Staff were friendly, facilities were great and the grounds are lovely. We will return.

6/10 Good

Main hotel building is beautiful and the bar service in the evening was good. At breakfast on a Saturday morning, there didn’t seem to be enough staff helping serve a busy restaurant. We stayed in the Mews Cottages, overall the value for money was good; however, the rooms need some work to maintain them. The windows didn’t close properly, meaning the bathroom was very cold and the television didn’t work.

One of England's most beautiful hotels

Eastwell Manor must rate as one of the most beautiful hotels in the UK. The building is incredible, the staff are wonderful and the whole experience one of total relaxation. I stayed in one of the rooms in the annex and the bed left a bit to be desired but everything else during my brief stay was perfect.

Beautiful estate in countryside with very luxurious amenities. Food and service were excellent. Special kudos to Jack in the lounge. Who is very knowledgeable, helpful and entertaining.

Beautiful period property in rural setting. Restaurant very good but bar service poor.

Beautiful manor house

Beautiful manor house with excellent spa attached. We stayed in an original manor house bedroom and the room was huge! Very friendly and helpful staff too. Only one point to note for future guests, we could not get a table for dinner in the evening as it was fully booked, so best request a table in advance of arrival.

Lovely break

A nice relaxing stay. Staff were very polite. The only gripe was that the heated towel rail in our room stopped working. We reported it 2 days running and nothing was done.
Adrian, 5-night trip

8/10 Very good

The staff were very caring, kind and considerate. They were breath fresh air. There were areas of the estate that could do with some work but overall, it was very good. The grounds were beautiful to hold, and the food was very good. The room was good but the beds was a little uncomfortable and the pillows flat. It would’ve been nice if there was a minibar but none of these spoiled our time there. We would come again. thank you for making our time there special.
Simon, 2-night trip

8/10 Very good

A most beautiful property in enchanting grounds. The Spa is a huge let down as it’s riddled with MOLD ! That’s a health hazard and needs attention ASAP !
Brad, 1-night trip

8/10 Very good

A step back in time.

Beautiful location, very relaxing and a step back into history at the same time. Only real criticism was that the bathroom windows would not close properly as they were clearly written and in need of repair. As regards Champneys, nice facility, however, clearly getting tired with plaster falling off adjacent to the sauna and the showers in need of an update. The staff were all very helpful and always on hand.
Robert, 2-night trip

My wife rang ahead due to ETA after 10 pm and were told the booking was cancelled (by the hotel for no apparent reason) and they were ‘full’. Rang Expedia and a room became available…. Stressful situation as all of this evolved during the motorway journey. Fortunate that the hotel was worth the fight. Circumspect about booking again.
DAVID, 1-night trip

2/10 Poor

It costs more than its worth! Very disappointing!
Jordon, 1-night trip

We ordered a twin double bedded room which was not available so one of us slept on the sofa. The drinks and meals were overpriced and mediocre.

Some good some bad

The service was good, we were not in the main hotel but in the coach house, the bathroom was very damp and smelled awful. The curtains refused to close and the door had a large gap underneath it which made the room very light at night. The service and staff were great - so really pretty mixed
Andy, 1-night trip

2/10 Poor

Really disappointed, was expecting a lot more , my room was tiny , could barley walk in there, no air con the windows had rotted where the wood was rotting away , spiders all in the room and wasps in the hall way. The spa facilities one of the jacuzzis wasn't working , the ceiling looked like it was falling off in the jacuzzi area , however I will say the staff were all lovely and the rest of the spa was good. The outside area was beautiful I feel that's the only think other than the spa that compliments this hotel.
Amy, 1-night trip

Nice place, but room was poor

Main building and grounds were stunning. Bar staff were amazing. Room was not up to the price and housekeeping was poor, shower gel shampoo and conditioner bottles left empty, room simple and basic for the price. Had to shower at the spa, which was adequate but nothing special. Breakfast was nice but the servers were struggling to keep up with demand, clearly under staffed, meaning long waits and slow turn around of tables. Staff uninterested in our feedback on check out
Wayne, 1-night trip

4/10 Fair

Somewhat underwhelming

This was our first stay in a mews house, having been based in the main hotel before. We arrived during a rainy cold weekend to find the room cold - the radiator off and no underfloor heating on to heat what was a very chilly tiled floor with no carpeting. Decor was disappointing and a little faded; not enough tea and coffee supplies were given and the soap dispensers in the bathroom needed the life squeezed out of them to oblige with a sullen splurge. Even the dressing gowns had seen better days. What a shame.

4/10 Fair

Has such potential but neglected

Upon arrival wasn’t told about spa access times or breakfast times and location, felt a little rushed. Spa and pool area is not clean, purely staffed and the number of guests in it isn’t accounted for so made it incredibly over crowed and not pleasant to stay. Rooms are not kept modern and poor bed linen. Breakfast was greater by a leaking ceiling and guests not moved elsewhere - service was incredibly slow before that even happened. Full English however was decent. Overall a let down and a waste of money.
