Lovely Hotel

Very nice property with many period features (it was a railway station originally). Staff were friendly and helpful. We know the fire alarm system works as it went off at 11.30PM (fortunately set off by steam from a shower not a fire). Only observation was that the breakfast seemed expensive didn't find out the quality as we went elsewhere.

Everything was perfect!

Stayed here on business as office at the airport and will certainly be making this my regular place to stay! Easy parking, great restaurant on, friendly service. You even get a mini thermos flask for fresh milk for your tea - winner! Nice large comfortable rooms, all clean and large comfy bed with a jar of yummy biscuits Dinner was fantastic (vege curry was lovely!) I am not even an vege…. and breakfast was very good a great menu choice too. Will be staying again!

The staff were excellent under alot of pressure as the menu was very very limited because they were let down badly by there suppliers due to the storms, but it did not stop them from performing their duties .

Fantastic family get away

Fantastic family trip had! 2 adults and 2 kids all fantastically looked after, from the smiling check in gentleman who offered to help with bags up to the room, to Amanda for breakfast who could not have helped more with helping getting the kids well fed for the day. The cleaning lady was also fantastic even after I explained my son had been ill in the night, so understanding and caring. I travel a lot for work and I've never been somewhere where every person was as friendly as this pub! If I had work near here I would be in this pub every time! The rooms were big and well looked after, nice selection of tea and coffee. The breakfast was large and perfectly cooked and supplied with a smile. The surroundings are safe with lots of good parking! 10 out of 10, well done team!

Loved my stay

When I arrived I was a little concerned about road noise, but I needn't have worried, the Hotel was lovely and quiet inside. The staff where incredibly friendly and welcoming. Food was great, room was great, bar was great... What more can I say!

Booked as away for work. Car park outside venue was free, nice reception on walking in. I was in room 3, this was a really lovely room, but there was no decaf tea or coffee in the room, which I had requested. Bed was comfortable and ensuite was small but usable. Music below my room coming from pub past 10pm.

Fabulous place to stay

We were going to a wedding nearby and needed an early check in to be able to get changed, having flown into LHR 2 hours earlier. The manager (Amanda I think her name was) had both our rooms ready for us which was amazing. Rooms were spacious, well furnished and immaculately clean. Breakfast was fab (I had eggs florentine). All staff were extremely friendly and helpful. We'll be back :-)

Despite an error made by stay at the Avon causeway was lovely Sarah a member of the team gave us amazing service after a bad start caused by Expedia. Sarah looked after us from the minute we arrived until the moment we left. When we departed Expedia had still not paid Avon causeway even though i had paid Expedia 2 weeks before. The only downside was we o ly got to stay 2 nights and not 3 that i booked due to the error. Once again i would like to say Thank you to Sarah & her colleagues for great service and making our stay enjoyable.

Over delivered on what was expected. Manager and staff so good and professionally friendly. Food really good especially the full English breakfast. If in area again would definitely stay here. Just as a comment for Butcombe, how on earth can you justify £6.80 for a pint of guinness!!

This was a really lovely place to stay, has a great pub and restaurant with wonderful breakfast and just a stone's throw from the beach. The hosts were very friendly and accommodating, and ensured a relaxed and welcoming stay. I will definitely return if I am in the area again.
