The staff were friendly and helpful at check- in. I went to breakfast at 8:40, breakfast ends at 9 am. The area was out of most of the food, coffee and hot water. The staff brought out more coffee for people. We were just looking for a quiet, safe place to rest arriving at midnight. This was a good place for a night’s rest.

What a gem of a place. So grand an entrance space. The team here are lovely and welcoming and the room was so spacious and clean. If your on Route 66, forget the stay in Springfield and head to Carthage. What a picture perfect town square, beautiful homes and friendly people. Definitely recommended

Was a great place to stay for the night for the price, it was convenient and easy to find and the lobby was lovely. We got in at 3AM but had no trouble checking in. Good as any place to stay.

This is a newly acquired property and the new owners are amazing. We only stayed one night but had to problems at all it was quiet and we all slept like babies!!

I believe it’s under new owner. Hotel rooms were very very old. Looks neglected and trying to do as much as they could in a short amount of time. AC was not working great at all the first night and cold waters for 2 nights because of the influx of people on Marian Days. Blankets are very thin, more like sheets. Has a humid musky sent from neglect of previous years. Last minute booking.

This is a good hotel. We were there for 2 weeks and the staff was excellent. The beds and pillows were comfortable and the bathroom was pretty spacious.The free breakfast is pretty much like most basic free breakfast except instead of waffles they serve pancakes which I was a fan of. There is plenty of places to get food or shop for anything you may need. This place was definitely a great value and would stay here again sometime.

The bathroom in our room was absolutely disgusting. The towels had a hair on them. The tub, floors, walls, and vanity needed a good cleaning. To top it off as we were leaving, we find a dead roach in the room. The only positive about this place was the friendly staff.

First room reeked of pot smoke. Moved to second room and dresser was broken with boards lying on the floor and the ac wasn’t cooling the room at all. I’ve stayed at this hotel several times in the past but this time has left me rethinking ever staying here again.

This hotel is a shining gem from the past. Even at the discounted rates they’ve found a way to retain the grandness of its past. The employees were all very helpful. I stayed for a work trip and they helped with everything. If you need an employee while you are in Town, ask for Nate Dennis.
