I was 23 hours late arriving as trains were cancelled due to a windstorm. I called the hotel but they would not reschedule and indicated I would have to pay for all 3 nights, even though I would now only stay for 2. When we arrived the next morning, expecting our 2 rooms to be available as I had paid for the night before, I found they were both occupied by other paying guests! Despite this, the hotel still refused to offer a refund and I was given wildly different explanations from staff and later an email from hotel mgmt as to what happened. Clearly lied to. Very unethical. Also, the hotel office was impossible to reach by phone. Tried for several days at differing times. Same confusing voicemail and no call back despite several messages left. I strongly recommend avoiding this hotel. In addition, the room was not equipped with everything that had been indicated on the website. No hair dryer for example.
