Sehr freundliches und hilfsbereites Personal. Allerdings war oftmals am Mittag das Buffet einfach geschlossen wegen mangelnden Gästen, so dass ich an den Strand ausweichen musste. Und dies, obwohl ich all-inclusive gebucht habe. Zuerst falsches Zimmer bekommen, mit Durchgangstür zu einem anderen Zimmer mit fremden Leuten, dies geht doch nicht. Man hört alles. Dies müsste so kommuniziert werden, in der App steht bei "Zel Suite" jedoch nur, dass Zimmer mit Verbindungstür vorhanden sind und nicht, dass dies bei ALLEN der Fall ist!

Schönes neues Hotel

Sehr freundliches, aufmerksames und hilfsbereites Personal. Grossräumiges gepflegtes Zimmer mit Liebe zum Detail. Was dem Hotel fehlt ist ein kleiner Laden mit dem Nötigsten zum Einkaufen (z.B. Toilettenartikel, Sonnencreme etc.). Die Hauptstrasse zu den Hotels (Avenida Barcelò) ist katstrophal mit vielen Schlaglöchern. Das Essen ist lecker, das Buffet eher klein, aber sehr gepflegt. Insgesamt alles bestens, wir haben unseren Aufenthalt sehr genossen.

I recently stayed at Zel Hotel Punta Cana and unfortunately, my experience did not meet my expectations, especially for a family-friendly vacation. First, this hotel is not kid-friendly at all — there were zero activities for kids and no entertainment or organized events to keep them busy. It’s the same for adults: after dinner there were no activities or shows, which made the evenings feel long and boring. The room service was disappointing. Every time we ordered something to eat, it took about 2 hours to arrive and the food always came cold. Housekeeping was also not up to standard — they only cleaned the room around 4 PM, which is an inconvenient time when you want to relax. During our entire 7-day stay, they never changed the sheets, and the shampoo and hand soap were never refilled. The pools were another letdown — no one cleaned them properly, so they were often full of leaves and debris from the trees. On the positive side, Frank and Carlos were the best part of our stay. They were very helpful, friendly, and did their best to make us feel welcome. Also, the place itself is beautiful and the hotel’s design is amazing — it’s just a shame that the service does not match the surroundings. Overall, Zel Hotel Punta Cana has potential because of its location and look, but they really need to improve their cleaning, maintenance, room service, and activity planning, especially for families. ⭐️⭐️ / 5

Zel Punta Cana: Beautiful Resort, Incredible Staff, but the Food Needs Help The resort itself is stunning. The landscaping is lush and tropical, and the suite was spacious, clean, and super comfortable. Our housekeeper was always on top of things, and the service throughout the hotel was excellent. Everyone we interacted with was kind, helpful, and genuinely tried to make our stay great. Special thanks to Carlos, our concierge, who was always available and went above and beyond. Now, the not-so-great part—the food. The buffet was disappointing. Most dishes were lukewarm and lifeless, no matter what time you arrived. Crepes, toast, and pancakes were rubbery enough to bounce. Even the salad dressing was room temperature. The Japanese restaurant was barely edible, both hibachi and à la carte. The only decent meals we had were at the beach club, where the calamari and grilled shrimp were actually good. The fruit was also fresh and tasty, especially the papayas and mangos. The staff truly made a difference in our experience. But unless the hotel seriously upgrades the food and brings in a real chef, it’s going to be hard to recommend this place for the full experience. Amazing service, but bring snacks just in case.

Relaxing Getaway Beautiful Spa

Overall, if you’re looking for a quiet, wellness-centered stay with beautiful surroundings and minimal noise or crowds, this resort delivers. However, if easy beach access, quick dining service, or engaging evening entertainment are important to you, this may fall short.Relaxing Getaway with Beautiful Grounds and Spa, but Lacking Beach Access and Entertainment. We spent a long weekend at Cell by Meliá in Punta Cana, and while the stay was relaxing and peaceful, there were a few key things that future guests should be aware of. The setting is truly beautiful—lush tropical landscaping, tall palm trees, and impeccably clean pools create a tranquil and secluded atmosphere. We stayed in a Master Suite, which felt more like a small apartment, complete with a kitchenette, a comfortable living space, a master bedroom, and a bathroom with a jacuzzi tub inside and another jacuzzi outside on a private patio overlooking the pool. This setup made the space feel luxurious and serene. The spa was a major highlight. We did a foot massage retreat that was excellent, and the facilities include a full range of services: full-body massages, hydrotherapy, steam rooms, cold showers, and saunas. The perfect boutique resort. This is the resort you come to for relaxation and family-like environment. I love that the resort is smaller than the typical commercial resort because it makes your stay more intimate. We started off with massages at the spa which were lovely. Then the next 2 days we went to the beach. Yes you do have to take golf cart to the beach but they operate every 5 minutes and the drive is beautiful along the way. The ride is about 4 minutes. The do have a beach club with a bar outdoor eating area and beach chairs. There are also several pools and jacuzzi throughout the grounds with plenty of space for you and your friends to relax on. The staff were all great! Jose and Raphael took care of all our needs while also making us feel like family. Mr. Fish also gave us a great DR sangria class. The food was what is to be expected on a resort but the daily buffet was my favorite. The espresso machine they have in front was a daily pit stop for us.Drinks were also good, ask for a passion fruit margarita! The resort is very beautiful and trees and plants make you truly feel you are on vacation. Great for pictures as well! I would def come back and have discovered I prefer a smaller boutique resort rather than a large party commercial one!

Todo es A1 desde el staff, las instalaciones, la paz que hay en el hotel, la amabilidad y disposición. Giovana, Rosa, Rafa y Erickson en el área de checkin y checkout son un amor! Anthony en la cocina y Francesco que nos trataron como reinas en los desayunos. Eddy que nos atendía en el beach club y sobre todo Giovanny con sus clases de artesanías que fue todo un éxito, nos encantó! Sin duda nos volveríamos a hospedar en ese hotel sin pensarlo.

Loved the resort! I came for a birthday trip and had such an amazing time. The service, and especially Raphy, made my trip so accommodating and relaxing. Only feedback I have is to work on the food selection and food overall.
