We stayed in one of the cabins it was clean and comfortable. The park was beautiful! We did not see a place for a private fire at the cabin area, just a community fire pit.

Parking was very convenient. Room was very clean. Drawbacks would be how hard the bed was. But all in all a great little getaway place.

Really cool CCC-made cabins that are so solid. Cool inside but they have AC and a gas fireplace with a small fridge and TV with digital channels. LOTS of character. Some false ladybugs and you may get a visit from a resident mouse but put a granola bar out for her and she’ll party in the bathroom and stop making noise in the bedroom. The restaurant food is really good—try the fish fry! And the area is beautiful and great for walking/hiking, birding, and fishing/wading. Plenty of parking.

Cute, rustic cottages within a beautiful wooded state park. Plenty of games offered from the lodge and a charming restaurant and patio. Highly recommend!

Great rustic cabins have been modernized with heat air conditioning and TV. Beautiful area with native ancient white pines. Good food at the restaurant.

It was a pleasure to stay in such a historic facility (built by the CCC) showing excellent craftmanship and pride in the work performed and that it has been so well maintained. Our cabin was comfy and cozy and very clean and well maintained. Unfortunately, we did not get a chance to try the restaurant, but the offerings looked good.

Definitely rustic. Cozy cabin that was outdated, but generally clean. If you’re looking for an outdoor experience, this is a good place. Two issues stand out for us: 1) the “queen” bed was horrible. It seemed it was for Lilliputians. My wife and I are practically beat each other all night. All things considered, sleeping should be comfortable. For this reason alone we would not sleep here again. 2) the air conditioning vent blew right on us. It was either hot or freezing. Nice park to visit, but wouldn’t stay here.

Beautiful woods and trails. Staff very friendly and helpful. Enjoy the rustic, yet modernized log cabins from the 1930’s.
