No more again! Bad Attitude and Unhelpful Staff
My family and I supposed to be recently guests at the Element Ewing Princeton between 7th July and 10th July during our trip in US. The hotel is under the Marriott Bonvoy Group which we believed should have good service and management. We felt confident that in choosing a hotel which is organized by good brand hotel group and its good reviews online Sadly, our flight from Orlando to New York was cancelled.I immediately noticed about my arrival time and date to Hotel.com in order to confirm my reservation of my rest staying and got confirmed by them. We drove for long time and arrived the hotel at late night. Everyone was very tired. Upon Check-In, we were told that there are no more rooms available. I had already full paid for 4 days and end up I cannot able to check in. This is completely ridiculous and non-sense. I was extremely dismay at irresponsible and unhelpful staff from the hotel. They didn’t assist to arrange me any other accommodation and rejected to do refund. The staff is impatiently and we were told that this was the problem between I and Hotel.com and there was nothing we could do. I could not believe this kind of bad attitude could be found under such good reputation hotel group. We also tried to contact Hotel.com at that time, they told us to wait only, end up no one to reply me. I felt highly embarrassed and helpless to find another hotel at mid-night with 2 young kids.It was a very awful experience and I will never recommend this hotel to anyone.

Nice hotel, would stay again
Our room was very clean and spacious. The lobby looked great and breakfast each morning was delicious. We loved that there was a yogurt bar with different toppings. We didn't make it, but we were told there was an afternoon cocktail hour with snacks as well. On our first night, we were awakened by the fire alarm and smoke outside our door, there was a fire around the corner on our floor, but the fire department response was quick and we were back in in about an hour. (I'm assuming this was not the hotel's fault so I'm not going to take away stars for this - though it created a lot of anxiety)

Noisy room, many broken appliances
Room had a lot of problems. The remote wouldn't work and there was no way to even manually turn on the TV. The coffee maker did not work. We told the front desk this the first morning, but nothing was done. We went back to the front desk and Sean got us a new coffee maker and a new remote control. The first night I was awakened at 2 AM by children jumping on the floor above us. I told the night clerk, but nothing was done. This happened the second night, too, told the night clerk and nothing was done. I also discovered the room phone did not work

Run… run like the wind
Booked a 1 bedroom suite 3 weeks prior to my stay and was given a studio . No extra sofa bed, no table and chairs, not even a phone . Was told that since it’s an extended stay property my reservation room type not guaranteed…. Well that’s news to me. I told them I expect a refund for price difference . Tried to book different hotel but the area was booked ( my reservation was for 2 nights). The room was in terrible condition. See pics . No sleep all night long as the room next door were people that did nothing but smoke weed and perpetually locked themselves out resulting in pounding the glass doors to have their room mates let them in. My room was right next to the glass entrance doors. I felt very unsafe all night long . In morning I booked different hotel for my second night as I couldn’t wait to get out of there. The general manager was very apologetic but there was nothing they could do… they did however give me a full refund for both nights. I also spoke with someone at Hotels.com and advised them to drop this property from their list.
