Great place to stay in Edinburgh

Every room has its own individual styling - the Cairo room I was in had a lovely seating area, a desk to work on, a big comfy bed, and an enormous bath. The drinks and beakfast was great, and the location is perfect for exploring.

Won't go back

The noise from the street below prevented us from getting any sleep whatsoever. I assume this is due to the nightclub below the hotel and its patrons loitering outside until the hours of the early morning .

Lovely stay

Great for an overnight stay in Edinburgh at the weekend. Brilliant location and the room was really nicely done. The only issue to note was noise, although you couldn’t hear the bar music from the room on the third floor, you could hear other bars and people on the street outside well into the morning. Not an issue unless you’re a light sleeper

Maybe best to avoid Friday & Saturday nights

We were upgraded to the New York suite which was fab and much appreciated. The room was spacious, nice decor, excellent location. However, the biggest issue we had was that the basement nightclub music went on until 3am meaning we barely slept. Was not a peaceful night. We also booked a table at the bar as aware it can get really busy; the cocktails were lovely; however the service was very slow, and the drinks price list didn't reflect the actual prices. Cocktails have increased by 50p each it seems

Great location

We were greeted by a very pleasant receptionist, who told us our room was ready, getting in early was a great start. We stayed 2 nights in the Havana room, which overlooks George Street, it’s a spacious shabby chic style room with a good shower, and lovely Gordon street coffee. The hotel is very convenient for travel by train, approximately a 7 minute walk.

Theatre night.

Stayed in Barcelona style room, surprisingly spacious inside with good storage options. Reception staff were very helpful , keeping our bags safe as we arrived early and then delivering them to our room before we arrived back. At this time of year this stay is excellent value for money.

Very central to all attractions and amenities, liked the themed room aspect. Bit noisy at the front later on with folk queuing for the night club but that didn’t prevent a good nights comfortable sleep. Would definitely stay here again.

Took a while for us to be checked in as there was no staff at reception. We got the room we requested (Tokyo) which was great. It was very large and we especially loved the TV from the ceiling and bathroom.

Overnighter

Overnight stay for the wife and I, hotel is well located for accessing the main train station and nearby shopping and eating establishments. Rooms are all themed after worldwide cities, we had Havana and it was amazing, mini bar if required, monsoon shower, tea and coffee facilities. Bed super comfortable, only downside was there’s a club that’s open nearby on certain nights and unfortunately we did hear a bit of noise other than that a fabulous hotel. Show your room card at bar and get additional 20% drinks

Due to severe weather almost everything in Edinburgh was closed for the day and I had to spend the whole day and an extra night in the hotel. Even though there were very few staff due to the storm those who in made sure we had food and went out of their way to be accomodating and make residents feel secure.
