I would say that they did a very admirable job upgrading a rustic property. Check-in was very pleasant. Inside the room feels every bit a modern motel and then some. The floors are a very nice faux wood, the countertops are a faux granite, and the shower is tiled. The bed in the king room has a pillow top mattress, which isn't the tempur-pedic I'm used to, but still very comfortable. The two easy chairs are very comfortable, clean, and supportive. The toilet wasn't the best. It's very cramped next to the shower and the toilet seat as a bit wobbly. But it was still clean and modern. The sink is one of the best features. A great faucet and basin. Plenty of countertop space. The temperature control in the room is top notch, with a modern system and remote control. Plenty of hooks in the room to hang your winter gear. Overall, I'd say it was a solid stay. It's right across the street from Seedz, which is an awesome vegan-friendly restaurant. Also be sure to check out the library across the street, which has a vegan-friendly cafe and a nice riverwalk.
