Relaxing stay and delicious food

We had a lovely 3 night stay with friendly helpful staff. Hot breakfast was cooked individually to order and would swap things around to suit you. I had read about slow service but if you aren't in a rush the pace is relaxed. Nice old building but good modern bathroom. The only downside was wanting to sit outside as there was not a handle to get back in and some people kept shutting the door tight.

Beautiful hotel, loving service

Just a great, authentic British Pub Inn with delicious food and great service both in the restaurant and the Inn. Staff were a delight. Rooms were spacious and well equipped. Beds were comfy!

No better !

If you check back, I stayed here a year ago. It wasn't so good. But a year later and new owners and my god what a change. Parking is great. Met by welcoming staff. I had my usual room and it had been redecorated and now the windows open, no longer painted closed. Lovely powerful shower. Last year the evening meal was terrible, tiny portions and over priced. But with the new owners they have turned it around. I had a lovely evening meal at a good price. Mon to Fri they have deals on two & three course meals and they are fantastic deals, you need to look. I had my breakfast this morning and it was good to see they hadn't changed the gentleman on shift. He is a credit to the owners, so cheerful and helpful. Fingers crossed he's still there next year. So yes, I will definitely be using this establishment again next year, in fact I have already booked my usual room there ☺️ One happy customer.

Old school hotel with friendly staff. Good, reasonably priced evening meal. Breakfast is good quality but sooooo slow. Over 50 minutes from ordering to getting my eggs benedict, despite chasing twice. That’s too slow particularly for a weekday morning. Early warning and suggestion of faster alternatives would have been appreciated.
