Earplugs required
First things first; this is not a hotel. There’s a receptionist most of the time but no housekeeping in the traditional sense. Someone visited my room on my last day after I had returned to my room. If you like the anonymity of staying in a sole-less apartment, this is for you.
The location is great for walking around, but the annoying bar / restaurant on the narrow street below plays excessively loud music until 11pm. I was on the 4th floor and could hear every lyric and drum beat. Awful, unreliable internet; I needed to conduct work meetings from the shopping mall. If you want to watch some TV, make sure you have a Google account as this is the only way to connect and watch something. No digital TV available. And make sure you log out of your account before you leave, which the guest before me had not done.
Big apartment with some good facilities, although it feels quite sterile. There is a simple self-catering kitchen although an absence of cutlery and any form of keeping the space clean; without proactive, daily housekeeping, the onus seems to be on the guest to buy washing up liquid, for example. There was lipstick on a glass when I first arrived. The apartment is quite new and modern, and generally very comfortable (if you have the earplugs mentioned in the title). It was a very cold few days in Chihuahua but, thankfully, the air conditioners also heat the rooms, generally quite well. Comfortable bed and nice, good quality bedding.
