I like this place due to its location. It's quiet and out of the way, traffic isn't really crazy and it's close to everything we had planned for this trip. Literally a few miles to and from everything we did. No long car ride back after a day out at Six flags or Hurricane Harbor just a 5 minute drive and we're back in our room for showers and relaxing. Breakfast was average but hot and plentiful.
Now, the not so good:
This hotel seems older, or stale. The hallways are hot and humid, paint scrapes on walls and in elevators make the place feel almost run down in spots. This isn't an overall opinion I just notice things like this. Most places have room cleaning every day, not here. They don't touch your room unless you ask and/or until you check out. I thought that was unusual but we made due with cleaning up and getting fresh towels along with thrown trash every day. On our third day here, we get in the elevator only for it to freak out and get stuck between floors, we had to call for help but after a few minutes it finally worked (creeped us out none the less). I will say it is a quiet place, as in we didn't hear others from their rooms, BUT (and this isn't the hotels fault) but while we were here a bus load of kids & teens show up and oh my goodness the running and stomping on the floor above us was an absolute nightmare. We and many others had to call and complain. That made the stay very uncomfortable. 1 or 2 nights...maybe.... a week stay, probably not again.
