I decided to share my experience, because it is very different from most reviews I read.
I really enjoyed my stay at Blue Horizon. I loved the style of the rooms and the traditional balcony. I had the room on the last floor, so probably had the best view, partially of the sea and partially of the traditional houses climbing up the cliff. The room was very spacious and clean, serviced every day . The staff was very friendly, everyone was smiling and greeting. The guy at the reception (Phillip I think) was very helpful.
The hotel has a big parking, which is very good as most of people like renting bikes to go to the beaches. Otherwise parking is a problem in Fira.
To go to the main restaurants took me usually arpund 10 minutes (not 20 like many people say, probably depends where you go). In my opinion, although the hotel is not located exactly where the most popular places are, it is well compensated by the price we paid. The hotels on the top are very expensive.
The hotel will be the best choice for those who don't mind to walk and is looking to travel around the island, staying at the heart of Santorini.
