Good value hotel in a prime location
Nice hotel friendly staff worked social distance very well. Very nice room ( executive room the bed was so comfortable) We had a room to the front was very noisy with the pubs and restaurants near, so if you wasn’t quite ask for a room further away. Garden wasn’t as nice as it showed in the pics, plants looked a bit whitherd and much smaller area than It looks in the pics. But it was still nice enough to sit out.

Very friendly, very clean.
The staff were exceedingly helpful. Nothing was too much bother for them. I didn’t see too much of the hotel due to social distancing but what I did see was well kept and clean. Checkout was at midday which is a little longer than most places and allowed us a lay in on our last day. I would definitely visit again once this pandemic is over.

All staff gave excellent service
A lot of refurb type of work to corridors and building going on but not in any way interfering with guest stays. Probably the largest bedroom we have enjoyed although it was equipped for disabled use . Plenty of restaurants and bars in the area but no problems A little Waitrose and one or two small shops in the area.

Improvements required
The hotel reception staff were very helpful and friendly, however at breakfast we had to look for someone as there was no one at the door of the breakfast room. The food in the hotel restaurant was very disappointing. The room was nice, very clean, tidy adequate forwhat I required.

hard working and fantastic staff
I have stayed in this hotel many times. Sadly, the hotel had a fire recently and major repair and refurb is under way, but I have to say, the staff are busy doing whatever they can to make the hotel as comfortable as possible. Regardless of this, I was completely undisturbed by the works, I was not inconvenienced in any way and my stay was as pleasurable as it has always been.

Very good stay staff excellent, food good. Room was a bit dated and getting ready for an update but extremely clean and couldn’t fault it
