Cabin 8

The place was easy to find and check in was fairly simple. We booked the cabin with jacuzzi but didn’t use it due to the water being low and murky. Although it smelled of chlorine we didn’t want use it. The rest of the cabin was clean. Downfall was the location being so close to the main road you can hear traffic especially first responders. There was some odd noises inside the cabin that sounded like someone walking from area to the other. The sound was creaking floors in front of the bed. This happened around 2 am the 2nd night. The first night my husband slept on the left side that is next to the bathroom. His left arm got chills from his hand to his shoulder making the hair stand up. As he opened his hand to reached out it stopped. The heater in the bathroom would turn on by its self when the switch and dial are both on off position. Couldn’t find history on the property as being haunted but there was definitely something in this cabin.

Cabin in the Woods.

A cozy stay in a little old cabin from @ the 50's. They definitely could use updating but the hot tub in ours made up for what was lacking. The manager is lovely, so nice to deal with, we enjoyed our stay very much.

Check-in was very smooth and we were able to get settled in pretty quickly. There was plenty of space for parking and for us to get out of the property during the day. The bedsheets and blankets were cozy and kept us warm when it snowed overnight as did the woodstove (we followed the instructions posted and bought the appropriate logs). The kitchen had ample space for the food and supplies we brought. It also had plates, cups, cooking utensils, etc. There was also plenty of closet and drawers to unpack our luggage as needed.

Overall it was great. The cabins are very cute. Definitely need to update the kitchen area and one couch had dog hair all over it but we also brought a dog so not a deal breaker. The place was clean and cute. We will definitely stay again. We srayed in cabin 9 with the hot tub

Cabin 7

This was a very cozy cabin (seven). Just a couple suggestions to help possibly improve cabin (seven) stays. It's pretty noisy with the street traffic. This cabin is set on the highway. I had an interview the next morning and it was hard to sleep. I would suggest finishing the wood fence to help reduce the sound. I would also suggest double pain windows also. Another suggestion, haging black out curtains to reduce the light from the morning sun. The floors needed a little bit better mopping, but after I brought this up to Melissa (the resort manager) she did enusre they would be better mopped in the future. The resort does ask for a cleaning fee which is reasonable, but I was a bit confused on what that included as we took out our own trash. I undesrstand cleaning dishes and even tidying up. However, unless staying for a long period, I thought trash would be part of the fee we paid for cleaning. Aside from those couple things. Melissa the manager is a pleasure to work with and very accomedating. She answered questions quickly and was extremly nice. The cabin istself is beautiful. I had read reviews from others stating the creaking sounds, uneveness of cabin, etc. I'm not sure what they were expecting, or if they have never been in a cabin before. The cabin is unique and homely. Great little fireplace (Duralongs only) and comfy couch. Its a cabin, not a hotel room. Overall, a great little place and would recommend to anyone. Just get one in the back.
