Nice stay - central

amazing central location just a couple blocks from the Anne Frank's house, pretty building, friendly staff, clean room. We got upgraded to a room with a balcony with no prompting - nice big windows, good view. Noise does come through, but we found that a white noise app basically drowns it all out at night.

Peison cell look

On arrival the stairs to reception are very steep. I asked the receptionist if he could help me with my bag he kindly did. On the way out another receptionist guy saud he was too tired to help!!! This says it's a 2 star hotel. Rubbish not even a 1 star. In room 2 beds one chair one bedside cabinet. Honestly it was almost like a prison cell tbh. Now I'm not 5 star hotel kind of person. And I've stayed in some nice hostels and caravans. If your just going to party this room would be okay as theres nothing in it to ruin! So yeah very disappointed with this hotel.

Hotel was good, room was nice and clean. Nice balcony area and most of the staff nice. Theres some major roadworks ongoing directly outside but the noise isnt too bad. One of the receptionists attempted to insult me but its OK, I'd also be bitter if I was working on a hotel reception in my old age.

Det var ett larm som gick VARJE morgon runt 06 tiden, det lät som ett brandlarm. Trapporna upp till hotellet är jätte branta och det finns ingen hiss. Smutsiga rum. Förutom de ligger hotellet på ett bra läge.

I got what I paid for

I was aware that there was no elevator but three flights of steps about 5” deep and a steep vertical incline was ridiculous. Only one outlet in my room worked. I looked at the hotel photos after I stayed there and none of those rooms look remotely like mine. It resembles a monk’s cell.

The staff are always what makes this hotel extra special. We have visited with friends as couple and i have a visited solo. Every occasion has felt like a home from home. Polite staff, any little hiccups sorted with mins of speaking to a mamber of staff. As a solo woman traveller i have felt safe. Always a warm welcome alone or with company. Myself and my hisband will not stay anywhere else. Value for money is always a bonus, the only downside is the stairs but it's a sacrifice we are willing to make for the welcoming we receive from the staff. Steph is just a treasure to the company along side many other other staff. If i was to name them all i wouldnt have enough space. Just thankyou to everyone who makes us always want to come back again and again.

there were maybe no bed bugs, I left itchy (even though I slept fully clothed), sick (I'm assuming from the musty window curtains) and almost puked on a regular basis (due to the smell in the bathroom that was absolutely rank.

Billig men skittent

Skittent(støv fra flere generasjoner under sengen og rundt om), mugg i taket på badet, våte doruller da vi ankom rommet. Selvet hotellet var slitt og ikke det fineste men passer prisen. Hyggelig resepsjonist. Trappene var typisk Amsterdam, veldig bratte. (Ingen heis som vi så) Vi kommer ikke tilbake.
