not impressed

The hotels cleanliness was average. Nothing terrible. The room smelled stale like someone smoked in it. The tub floor was scratched, wood laminant on the bathroom door was peeling off, and the AC would not turn off. Not an experience that makes me want to book again.

Assessable rooms not a fit for able bodied

We were given an assessable room which was very inconvenient. We are able bodied and found the layout challenging to navigate. I would recommend that the room layout and accommodations be reviewed by those who actually need assessable rooms

They only came to room every 3 days. Did not make bed or empty garbage. First room we had dirty rags and garbage in room. Overall cleanliness suspect. Won’t stay here again!

Great stay

The hotel is really good and comfortable. After a 12 hour drive it was good to relax on the pool and jacuzzi. Breakfast was decent with eggs, sausage biscuits and gravy. Nothing to fancy but top notch for the price of the stay. Check in and check out was easy and smooth

Great Property with One Major Issue

I will start with the bad part of our stay.....we checked in for our two night stay around 10pm and discovered the room reeked heavily of cigarette smoke. This was "take only what you need and leave the rest in the car" level bad. So bad that the room should have never been made available to guests (particularly to someone who made a reservation weeks ago). The good.....the desk clerk worked until 12:30am trying to find an alternative even going so far as to call the owner, but since it was so late there were no other options on property but by 10am the next day they had another room ready for us to move into. Otherwise, a good location convenient to downtown and Kings Dominion relatively well maintained.

Smells smells and more smells

Check in lobby looked ok , went up to room and halls smell of weed .. told front desk in hopes to avoid smell creeping into room.. they ended putting some strong scented cleaner in hall to cover smell it helped but still smelled of strong weed, not vape but actual smoking.. it is a non smoking property. It even smelled of marijuana at 8am? It was slight and smell was in the room but mostly hall and elevator. Breakfast was ok but they started running out of stuff by time I got there but it was close to 830 and it ended at 9a. Checked out at 11 and now halls smelled of vomit it was overwhelming and everywhere even in elevator but also stunk of dirty laundry, feet , bo . It was a very long elevator ride where my entire family held their breath in disgust. Would not stay there again , it was not low cost , it appeared clean and had good reviews but the cleanliness was just a facade. My child moved the chaise over slightly to access an outlet and we encountered dust, crumbs , and a wrapper with the name blue chew! Gross Tiny pillows no linens for sleeper the only thing I have no complaints about is the shower was clean not dated. Glad we were only there 12 hrs !
