Very nice, breakfast a bit chaotic.
The hotel is very nice. The food in Harry's was lovely and very good value for money. My only complaint would be the breakfast. The food was nice, however the serving station was obviously not big enough for the number of people staying as it was constantly running out of items leaving people waiting and their breakfasts getting cold, as was mine. The area where the toaster and drinks machine is very badly set up, causing a constant bottleneck, with no orderly queue. I think the serving areas just isn't big enough particularly when tables are placed in walk ways, right next to the serving area.

Lovely hotel. Disappointing room.
Overall our stay was distinctly average. The room was very small. It was very tight between the wall and the bed and having the TV protruding off the wall at the corner of the bed at head height must be a clear safety risk for anyone getting in and out of bed. You have to physically bend out of the way to get past in order to get into bed. I fully appreciate it is an old character building with wooden window features, but the windows were dripping with condensation throughout the day and night. That must be addressed and cannot be good for the health of those staying in such a small space. The bed wasn’t particularly comfortable (much softer than the usual hotel standard) and as a result neither of us got a decent night’s sleep. The shower made an annoying fairly loud whining noise when in use. Also, there was a leak between the shower head and the shower hose which meant water was spurting out when in use. There were a few really visible cobwebs in the bathroom making you wonder how well it is cleaned. The hotel itself is lovely. The staff were great. It is a lovely spot for a relaxing break but we were fairly disappointed with the room and its facilities. To be fair, we would have probably had a better room in a Travelodge for substantially less, but we had booked something which should have been considerably different to that. We left fairly dissatisfied, which given the class of the hotel should not have been the case.

If you want to relax don’t bother staying here
My stay here was completely abysmal. I stayed here for two nights wanting a relaxing getaway and it was anything but relaxing! The first problem was the constant annoying fan in the bathroom which was INCREDIBLY loud. The main issue was that there were drunk people walking up and down the corridor making the most amount of noise in the middle of night and we could hear every word. The rooms were so far from sound proof Not to mention I could hear my neighbours coughing and snoring! It’s like they sounded like we’re in the same room as us. If you want a peaceful relaxing nights sleep do not stay here! I would not recommend staying here at all. When mentioning all of this when checking out, absolutely NOTHING was done apart from the receptionists saying that they will pass this feed back on to the manager, which is unacceptable. They just told us “sorry, we’re having Christmas parties”. Poor customer service & poor hotel overall

Thin walls
We booked the stables. We have stayed here several times. Room 7 was awful. The man next door snored all night and I could hear him thru the walls. Didn’t sleep . heard him cough and his tv. Miserable stay. Told girl when checking out and her response was “ I’ll make A note to not have you in that room again “😡
