Overall a lovely stay, but some disappointments
We were really happy with the room and the location – the view was absolutely beautiful and truly one of the highlights of our stay. The staff were incredibly friendly and welcoming, which made a big difference.
However, there were a few let-downs that stopped it from being a perfect experience. On arrival, we noticed a sock left in the room, some dust, and one of the drawers had crumbs and debris inside – not quite the standard of cleanliness we expected.
We brought our well-behaved dog with us and were aware of the £20 per night pet fee as stated on the website. However, it also mentioned that a dog bed and bowl would be provided, which we never received. In the end, we paid an additional £60 for our dog to stay, even though we were out most of the day.
On top of that, parking was £10 per day, so we ended up paying £30 more just to park. Altogether, we were charged £90 extra at check-in, which felt a bit much considering what was promised.
Despite these issues, the location and staff were both so lovely that we would stay again – but we hope these concerns are addressed for future guests. Not completely satisfied this time, but the potential is definitely there.
