Absolutely beautiful place with stunning views and amazing architecture. Breakfast is brilliant- huge variety of cooked (to order) food as well as continental buffet. Staff are helpful and friendly. Only cons are 1) location - be prepared for the narrow country lanes!! But seriously you may struggle to get phone service, food delivery and nearest taxi will be 20 mins away 2) no aircon - we went in September so not really an issue but can imagine this to be a problem in summer. 3) Room service - no menu, limited availability and takes ages However these weren’t huge issues annd overall we really enjoyed our stay and found our way around the limited issues mentioned above. Would definitely stay again.

Britisk eleganse i vakre omgivelser.

Ashdown Park Hotel har en fantastisk beliggenhet i et nydelig og stille område. Standard på hotellet generelt og rommet spesielt kan best beskrives som "ærverdig britisk hotellstandard" med store og luftige fellesareal i form av restauranter, bar og "afternoon tea-salong". Rommet var stort og elegant med flott bad. Restauranten kunne gjerne hatt en noe mer avansert meny og serveringspersonalet var noe preget av begrenset erfaring. Hotellet har også SPA-tilbud med basseng, men det passet ikke for oss å bruke dette, så derfor ingen vurdering.

An amazing stay

We had such a specia stay for our anniversary. We enjoyed the pool, spa (both had lovely treatments) and bike hire. Staff were so friendly and helpful and the hotel had a grand, traditional feel.

Exceeded our expectations.

From the moment we arrived all the staff are very friendly and helpful. Our room was of a good size, lovely views and very clean. We had an evening meal in the dining room, which was of excellent quality. The ambience in the restaurant was lovely. We were not disappointed, in fact Hotel and staff exceeded our expectations. The grounds, including the country club, it’s worth walking around. The Ashdown Forest is a very beautiful setting , lots of walks.

A lovely place to stay

Stunning location. A very grand feel to the place inside and out although it needs a refurb in parts but not desperately. Lovely breakfast and good quality tea and coffee in room.

Amazing staff and service.

The staff and service can not be faulted here, everyone was so friendly and helpful and the place is beautiful with their 3 gardens and plenty of places to sit and enjoy the views. Restaurants served good food and they have 24 hour room service!

Ashdown Park,we decided,not for us. Bedrooms very dark,and extremely dated.With reproduction furniture. We had issues with the rooms we were allocated,due to first being too far away for my husband (he has knee problems),secondly a single room was given to us.Late evening we were given a suite in the leisure complex,which we appreciated,but in all honesty,so very dated. I have to say,the member of staff,who helped us to get a room change,was absolutely lovely,and went above and beyond,to help us,such a lovely guy. Breakfast was certainly not overwhelming,really didn’t like the idea of having to help yourself to a coffee in a mug ,from a rather cheap coffee dispenser,(I can do that in Waitrose for free). As a summary,beautiful views and grounds,dated ,dark accommodation.

My husband and I enjoyed everything about our stay at Ashdown Park Hotel. The team are super friendly, our room was lovely and very clean and luxurious. The grounds are well kept and a pleasure to stroll around. There are good fitness facilities, however we were there for a romantic trip. We had a lovely evening meal, but feel that there could have been more choice. The breakfast was delicious and well made. Thank you to the whole team for making our stay special.

Amazing stay this weekend at Ashdown. We were able to play tennis, use the driving range, lunch and walk around the grounds all before checking in. Room was beautiful and clean with a great view! Dinner in the restaurant and breakfast also great and generous portions. Service fantastic!
