Room is nice bed very comfortable I was very upset we have our dog and no where on making the reservation was there anything say we were going to be charged 112.00 for the dog. Not right. You should be able to book your dog on web site.

Nice and close to the Beach
Only one luggage cart for entire hotel. There should not be a charge for Parking when you are staying at the hotel. Beds are doubles not queens but they were comfortable. Breakfast was excellent. Bottles of waters or some sort of beverage upon checking in would be nice, however, there is a Circle K directly beside the hotel that we walked over to for drinks and food. Nice walking distance to the beach. The lighthouse nearby is only open one day a week so we weren’t able to tour or go on the grounds.

Very nice, affordable hotel near beach
Really enjoyed staying at this hotel. The location was perfect! About a block from the beach and next to a wonderful restaurant with outdoor seating. Right next to Fort Clinch State Park (loved it!). It was off season, so the price was great. Would definitely stay here again.

Deceptiveness...
The parking situation was DISHONEST. It was NEVER mentioned that parking was not free. I did not realize this until I received my bill. It's a nice tactic though when trying to deceive people who are booking online... I definitely will not be staying here again... This was for a business trip.

Safe Haven!
We booked this room during Hurricane Milton. What a relief! It was like being in another world. Right on the beach, very clean room! Staff was kind and very attentive. Will absolutely stay again!!

The property was great. No real concerns. The staff was terrible and should be replaced. They smile and still manage to have an attitude. Another MAJOR concern for guests is the PET Policy. I used this hotel to evacuate during Hurricane Milton so they waved the Pet Fee this time but Be Aware they charge a $170. Per night pet fee on a $138 a night room.

Booked this place to get away from Hurricane Milton. The place was clean, desk staff was very friendly and the beach was a bunch away. Breakfast was provided every morning.

Surf and Sun was an OK property. Maybe not worth the $200 for one night, but it served its purpose. Their check-in system was down and we had to wait more than half an hour to check in (reception person could have used paper check-in way before she did). The room was clean but the bathroom was old.

We had reservations for the Thursday night that hurricane Helene hit. We were coming in from S.C. Contacted them and tried to reschedule for the following weekend. Sorry no can do. So we lost the money for the Thursday night. Got there Friday and checked in. Woke up in the middle of the night with fire ants all in the room. They did move us to another room at 3:00 am. Hotel breakfast was a joke. Milk for the coffee was old and clumped up when put into the coffee. Best part of staying there was when we left. There are lots of other hotels farther up the beach that are nicer. HIGHLY recommend eating breakfast at the "Beach Diner" about 5 mins away.

This was a good stay. Super cute and I know they are in the works of some remodeling since it sold and rebranded. Unfortunately the elevator was so sketchy and we were nervous every time we had to use it. The room was great except it looked like the fridge leaked at one point and it deteriorated the wood underneath where it was sitting on. The staff at the desk was great, but we tried to relax by the pool and heard two employees get into it. Yes, the employees was flaky, however they knew we were by the pool and continued the loud and awkward unprofessional conversation in front of us so we left.
