Not the best start, we arrived Friday and the reception charged me nearly the same price for my room as the price for 2 that was booked even though I showed confirmation. One room the door wouldn’t lock and could be pushed open without using key, when questioned at reception I was told to wait and someone would see me, half hour later we eventually had to the explain again to someone about the door not closing, after a time we asked to be given another room only to be told there wasn’t one and when I said I wanted a refund and I would go somewhere else miraculously they found a new room.
Staff are not friendly also in the bar we got a drink and the service was terrible with our glasses and bottles being slammed on the bar. No smiles either civility doesn’t cost anything.
For a stay that should have cost £300. they tried to charge £364. Hotels.com please be aware they are blaming you for sending the wrong prices to them, I eventually got my money back from them.
Also breakfast was a shambles, food not hot and looked like it wasn’t cooked properly, today we waited for 20 mins to even be seen to let them know we arrived, eventually we walked out and went to the local Tesco cafe for a well cooked and hot breakfast.
Overall I think this hotel needs a massive shake up and staff need to be retrained to treat people with respect and I and all of my friends will definitely never stay there again.
If I could give less than 1 star I would.
Never ever ever will I stay there.
