From Luxury to Creepy

Premises was being renovated I think. From the lobby/entrance of the building, we had to pass dark, confusing, tight hallways to find the elevator to go up to the check in/reception area. We transferred from Crown Plaza just to spend the few hours at Royal Orchid because our flight was early the next morning. I almost regretted my decision even if my purpose was to save on the hotel. Even the way to the room was dark and scary. A positive note was the room was huge and spacious, and clean even if the design was dated. At least it had a small ref and microwave. Front office personnel was not very friendly. This should be your last choice of hotel. If you have a budget for accommodations, go for the better ones.

The shower temperature was unstable. The equipment is a little old, but there were no problems. The number of beds was different from the reservation, but when I informed the front desk, they prepared an alternative room for me.

The hotel only had one front desk staff available , she understood and was kind to us with the room situation we we're in. There was leakage from the room above us. There was no manager on duty or supervisor available at the premises or through contact as well so we weren't able to change our room for the night unless management approved. The escalators dont function, it's block off so we had to go through property and swtich elevators to go to our room. Overall we weren't happy with our stay at the hotel.

This place is run down and disgusting. The halls smell of mildew and the rooms of mold. I couldn’t breathe. We left and went elsewhere. The beds were lumpy although we didn’t sleep on them I’m not optimistic they would be comfortable. I’m sorry I wasted my time.
