The staff was very nice, breakfast was good, nice choices and tasty, swimming pool and Jacuzzi outside were nice, clean with plenty of towels. Check-in process was great, hotel was clean with a pleasant lobby and the gym was small but adequate.
There was a problem on night 2 after we returned from an evening out we got in after 11 pm, prepared for bed and I felt a bug crawling on my arm, then another and another. When we got up and turned the lights on we saw multiple small black bugs that looked like ants with wings crawling on the pillows sheets and lamp shade. I called the front desk and the night audit answered as I was telling her the problem I noticed a live bug under the glass on the desk moving and then disappeared also what looked like larva or wings clustered under the glass.
She moved us to another room and locked down that room and told me to come down and inform the manager in the morning.
The manager comp'd the room and printed both receipts (see attached). However, on my credit card statement the $207.28 shows as an added charge on 8/18 bringing the balance on my credit card up to $691, then the $207.28 is removed bring the balance back to $483.90 (see attached) So where is the refund as indicated on the receipt?
I am waiting a response from the Ayres Hotel management.
