not friendly at all. nothing more than a room. service not up to standard as a hotel. being repeatedly disturbed in the morning by room cleaning service. toothpaste not available even after request. small shower area.

Tulip inn (great stay)
Booked 6 rooms for the running club. No issues checking in or out.
Staff very friendly and polite. Easy to get to from the airport and 10 minutes walk from the centre of town. Well worth the money.

Great Breakfast
nice clean room, fridge, kettle and coffee machine, would of preferred a double bed and duvet opposed to to single beds pushed together.

Superbement pratique
Hôtel très bien situé que ce soit pour se balader dans la ville rayonner en train ou en voiture. On vous donne un petit plan à l’accueil avec les balades dans la ville à faire. Le parking est pratique, payant évidemment comme partout ici. Propre bon un peu de poussière sous les lits mais franchement rien de dramatique. Personnel très souriant et disponible. Suppléments chiens pour nos deux teckels mais un petit cadeau de bienvenue.

Need more lighting
Customers should be aware of the fact that the hotel has two sections with slightly different names. This is to differentiate what they call 3 star versus 4 star accommodations. The key differentiator is that the 3 star section has no AC and old fashioned high bathtubs which can be quite dangerous for older people with less mobility to use. Their rooms are slightly larger than the 4 star rooms, however. Since my wife has significant mobility issues they were gracious enough to upgrade us to a 4 star room in the new section. With its walk in shower it met our needs perfectly. The only two things that we were not fond of were the two twin beds pushed together (which kept separating during the night) and the very limited lighting in the room.
Other than that the room was clean, neat and perfectly located to the train station so no need for a taxi. The walk into the old section of town was also quite short. The staff was always friendly and accommodating. One of the highlights of the hotel was its restaurant which served very good food - not the ordinary mediocre food typical of most American hotels.

Nice stay in Leiden
The hotel was convinently located close to the train station and many eating options. We walked about 10 minutes from the hotel and found a lot of lovely local eateries. We did not eat at the hotel.
Our walls seemed fairly thin as our neighbors were speaking in a normal tone but we heard them. The room was spacious, There was a comfortable couch.

Shory city stay in Leiden
Reasonably priced and well located basic hotel. Rooms a bit outdated. Double bed was a plus but the bed felt worn and perhaps some screw or support was missing and frame mattresses keep separating every night. Soundproofing between rooms almost non existent and coversation in normal voice can be heard. There were some noisy renovations ongoing one floor down. A good idea is to inform renovation when booking, now there was no information on it. Service personnel was mainly working for salary. Not a glimpse of warmness or positive service attitude in their face.

Kamer was mogelijk al enige tijd niet bezet geweest, want er hing een 'riool-lucht' in de badkamer.
