Do not book unless you want to pay premium price for a molded room. The hotel has a beautiful location and friendly staff, however when entering the room late at night we noticed a bad smell, that we next morning was due to bad mold over the bed and in the bathroom.
We asked for another room, which we had but not until the day after. We asked for compensation due the health hazard we had exposed to, the inconvenience of having to change room (with the clothes damp from the first packed in the suitcase for whole day), and a second room that in several ways was less attractive than the first room we had. We were given a free dinnerbuffet, which we appreciated, however we didn’t feel that in any way adequately compensated for the situation. I tried several times to get in contact with the manager, without any luck and my emails to the manager remain unanswered. I’m shocked that a hotel manager of any hotel, let alone 4-star hotel, is non-responsive to a complaint like ours - especially as I informed the manager and staff, that my travel companion has severe astma.
