Great stay. Newly refurbished, nice styling and amenities. Comfortable bed, good air-conditioned room. Great Youtube channel. Good breakfast. Good price and location not too far from North Ward Strand. Highly recommend.

For a family of two adults and three big teenage boys the included breakfast (and or the hot breakfast included for $8-10 extra per person) was good. Some mornings they don’t offer a cooked breakfast though! The staff overall couldn’t have done more to help us. The room was great for the price and we all had plenty of space. The big boys loved the gym. We ended up staying an extra night and will stay again when in Townsville!

The pool is very accommodating to smaller children. The complimentary breakfast was fantastic with numerous options. The staff were very friendly . It was a shame that the door cannot be locked from the sinde to prevent small children opening the door and walking into the carpark

Room well appointed great bed. No face towel/ flannel in bathroom. No office or service except for bar and restaurant after 3pm. Powerpoint in bathroom broken. Backpacker staff in bar/restaurant friendly and tried to help but not well trained or informed re rooms. Front office staff useless.

Little family get away from Mackay was awesome. Room was much nicer than expected, although the bathroom could use an extraction fan, it was very nice. Wife and I enjoyed the soft bed, kids loved the bunks! Pool area was fun and easily accessible from our room. Food was ordered in to our room, a little basic, but yummy. Breakfast in the restaurant was a bit average, but there was a good amount on offer that was complimentary. Overall, we had a great time, we will be back and have told people to make it a spot they stop when in Townsville.

The bathroom needs maintenance and updating. Water was pooling outside of shower with door closed. There was a fold up fixed chair in showers that was rusty and old. The shower head was not working and did not spray water, water just ran out like a kitchen tap. Air conditioning unit was very dirty and dusty. The complex/ pool/ restaurant areas were rundown and dirty. Half painted areas, pool dirty, we think poo was in the pool. It may have been a seed from a palm tree but it was more poo like. The bricks around the pool were broken in many places. Tables dirty with cups all over them and food. Same mess was there both days we were there. It was such a shame as the grounds could look fantastic with great facility’s. The pool is huge and would look great with maintenance and a clean, and maintenance to the gardens around the pool. Just looked like no one cared about the place. Was such a shame.

We had a great stay, but the rooms need a deep clean we stayed in 112 &113 under the beds have not been clean in a while, bathroom have spider cobs under the sink and mould in showers also shower windows need proper clean. Fridge needs a clean ontop & inside same with coffee machine and cupboards. We will go back as we enjoyed our stay.
