Couples get away
Lovely hotel a little dated in areas but refurbed areas really well done. Food absolutely delicious and service really good, friendly and efficient. On the downside lift was out or order and spa was not open. But would definitely stay again.

We enjoyed our stay at this hotel. The room was comfortable, though rather warm for our taste. The staff were helpful and thoughtful, suggesting places to visit locally. The spa was closed and the lift out of action, which were both a little unfortunate.

Non too pleased
Lovely room and outlook. Staff friendly and welcoming. Very clean and tidy. Bed was the most exceptionally hard and uncomfortable that we have ever had where ever we have stayed. Sorry Stradey Park - nil points.

This is a really nice hotel. The staff are friendly and welcoming. Food was really good. The walk from the car park to reception is quite steep and it’s a bit awkward if you have a heavy suitcase on arrival. Would be happy to stay again when I am next working in the area.

Big, clean and comfortable room overlooking lots of trees. Unfortunately the restaurant was closed but you could have dinner at the bar. The spa was also closed, they did let us know when booking with a reminder a week or two before arrival, so it wasn’t a surprise when we got there.

I enjoyed my stay overall. Most of the staff were very friendly. I had a nice chat with one of the bartenders. I didn’t catch his name but he was young and a little heavyset. The other chap wasn’t friendly and I think he’d benefit from some feedback and customer service training. It comes naturally to some people but not everyone. The food was great as well as the wine selections. I thought the food prices were very good. I enjoyed the breakfast too. My room was comfortable and functional and I sport the sea view alone the ability to crack open the windows at night for some fresh air. Pillows, sheet and duvet were great better than several hotels I’ve stayed in recently. It’s clear the hotel is still undergoing maintenance and improvements since reopening and I can completely understand. In some places it felt upgraded and then in others worn and dated. I really hope there is continued upgrading of the hotel and staff training and motivation and this place and the people deserve to succeed.

Great find!
A 2 night stay to explore the local area on bicycles. Staff were amazing and could not do more! Many thanks. Room was a good size and able to see the coastline from our bedroom windows on the 2nd floor. We had breakfast and again very good! We didn't eat at the hotel in the evening so can't comment on the menu. We did use the bar, prices were reasonable and bar staff very friendly. 15 minute walk into town and easy access to the pedestrian/ cycle path which links to the Millennial Coastal path.

Easy check in with friendly staff. On the ground floor with a standard room which was clean and tidy. View to the back of the hotel which could do with some attention. Public areas look to have been recently refurbed and looked good including the bar. Ate there once in the evening and once for breakfast - evening meal was v good and the breakfast was buffet style (hot and cold) which meant some of the food wasn't at its freshest - but had worse. Good view out to sea from the restaurant. Local pub down the road worth a look (Stradey Arms) - lovely, friendly and good food. Llanelli itself is a poor old place and only use the hotel for the Gower and other local attractions. On balance a decent hotel worth the price paid.
