We recently stayed at this small, charming hotel, and while there were plenty of positive aspects, there were also a few setbacks that impacted our experience.
First, the positives: The hotel's size is a major plus. It's not overly large, so you don't feel lost in the chaos of mass tourism. Its proximity to the beach is great, making it easy to enjoy the ocean whenever you want. The staff is warm, welcoming, and very friendly – they truly make you feel at home. The food was tasty and well-prepared, although the selection was somewhat limited.
However, our experience was impacted by a few negative moments, particularly at check-in. We had to wait past the designated check-in time to get our room, only to be told we were "upgraded" – but the room we received had two separate beds instead of the king bed we had booked. Additionally, the sofa bed for our children wasn’t prepared, and to top it off, we discovered a trail of ants in the room the following day, some of which even ended up in my bag.
The staff tried to make up for this with a late checkout, which was a nice gesture, but the initial experience left a sour note.
Another frustrating issue was the airport transfer. I had booked a cab through the hotel, but after waiting for ten minutes, it became clear that the reservation hadn't been made. The receptionist quickly arranged a last-minute cab, but unfortunately, the driver was reckless, making the ride to the airport quite stressful.
