Awesome place for a romantic weekend
My husband and I went for just a simple overnight and it was amazing. The staff was incredibly friendly and helpful. Very responsive. It was pouring down rain outside so my husband and I hung out in our room with a beautiful fireplace and cozy beds. We played games, drink wine, and just relaxed. In the morning, we were delivered a beautiful picnic basket with breakfast. we had a choice of what we wanted to order the night prior. My husband ordered a yogurt, parfait with granola, orange juice and two hard boiled eggs while I had Cheerios two hard boiled eggs and fruit. We both got orange juice. It was delightful. Check in and check out with very smoothly. The rooms are clean. The beds are comfortable. The pillows are awesome and the shower actually works. This will be on a new place every couple of months. They also have a pool and a hot tub. I highly suggest having dinner at the sea chest restaurant where you will find fresh fish choices, an amazing staff and a good wine selection. All in all this little overnight trip was exactly what the doctor ordered.

Peaceful and charming
It was so peaceful and charming. I highly recommend if you need a retreat from your busy life. Across the street is the most beautiful ocean views and walk path. I took three walks a day.

We will never stay here ever. They use harsh chemicals to clean the room and we had to air the room out. Problem is the windows dont have screens on them and the mosquitoes and bugs were sure to get in. Plus they had a power outage and we were not offered other accommodations until we went looking into it. We chose a refund instead of accommodations. After they promised a refund they reneged on the agreement. There is other more hospitable and affordable places we have stayed at than this. Dont be fooled over some fake review or IG influencer.

Location on Moonstone Beach
Location was perfect, steps from Moonstone Beach. A fireplace in the room was a bonus as was the Breakfast Basket delivered to our room each morning.

Unfortunately we did not enjoy our stay. Our room was clean and the person working at the front desk was kind, but overall I would not recommend this motel. There was a loud noise that kept us up all night which sounded like the sewer system or the air conditioning system-not quite sure. My whole family didn't sleep because of it. The water in the shower stayed hot for about 5 minutes and the rest was freezing cold, the lock on the bathroom door is broken, the curtain in the room is broken, and the lamp in our room didn't work until the person at the front desk fixed it for us.

Beautiful sunset views and great access to Hearst Castle. lot's of restaurant options nearby. Nice touch for how they serve breakfast in a basket directly to your room. Can’t wait to come back!

Very nice stay
We will definitely go back. The room was roomy. It had a fireplace. The only thing I didn’t like about the fireplace was that the size of the flame depended on the temperature setting of the thermostat. Sometimes we like the ambiance of the fireplace, but couldn’t really use it if it got too hot. That’s just being picky. We didn’t know there was a patio. So that was nice surprise. The breakfast was cute when it was delivered in a picnic basket. Loved the hot tub. Walking distance to the beach. Everything was nice and comfortable.
