I travel for a living. Sometimes I stay in really nice places and sometimes I am in the bottom of the barrel motel in a not so great area.
This is a last-minute work trip in Vegas and I was surprised to see that an IHG hotel, within a five minute walking distance from the convention center, had availability.
The agents working at the front desk were absolutely lovely and professional.
Plenty of free parking around the facility.
The rooms are like little apartments, as it is a timeshare property. Everything looks updated, new and clean. Full kitchen plus amenities and a separate bedroom. I was quite happy.
However, when I got back from work, I noticed that my kitchen counter was COVERED WITH ANTS! The design of the countertop with the colors makes it hard to see, unless all the lights are on, and you look closely. But they were everywhere! I then looked closely and saw them crawling on the floor and they were crawling on my stuff on the coffee table, and I found a few in the bathroom. I called down immediately to the front desk and they sent up maintenance. They didn’t even move me to another room or offer to get my clothes cleaned. So maintenance came up with bug spray and sprayed down my kitchen and a couple other areas. Needless to say, the spray didn’t work.
I was hardly able to sleep. I had to shake out and wipe down all of my stuff and move it and hang it in the shower stall. This is a full infestation, and I can’t believe I had to pay full price for this!
