Economical room rate
I thought it was strange that there was not a trash can in the room. Not even in the bathroom. There are no vending machines for drinks or snacks, the it was 3.00 for a bottle of water if you purchased it at the desk downstairs. The people in the room next to me were very loud until around midnight and were at it again at 4 am. I guess that is one of the reasons people choose Air BnB's.

The red lion is a good solid choice. It is reasonably priced and clean. When i checked in my tv didnt work the manager immediately came up to my room. After.trouble shooting we could not get it to work. So he prompty switched my room. And gave me a.free breakfast for the inconvenience the.whole process took less than 15 minutes and i was in my new room enjoying my stay

No pride in doing a cleaning job
Long black hair everywhere, shower curtain, towels in the bathroom. Had what looked like snot on the wall closest to the bed along with who knows what else, dust on the headboard, desk and entertainment center. And a roof leak by the front door as you walk in.

There are better places to go. Pass on this.
Not a clean establishment. My room was really dirty, rotten milk spilled and hard candy stuck to the chair.. YUCK! She upgraded me to something else. Not much of an upgrade other than it was slightly cleaner than the first. I opened the bedside drawer only to find remnants of a broken meth pipe. Sketchy characters walking around in parking lot, I wanted to sleep in my car as I felt it needed protecting.. , but it was snowing and pretty cold. I decided to have few beers at their bar.. 2 employees were getting drunk. I ordered the burger, my bun was burnt and completely black on the inside. Don’t stay here. I have never in my felt the need to leave a review about anything, today is the day that had to happen.

Good location
Even though there is a no smoking policy, the hallway strongly smelled of marijuana. The rooms are nice sized and the beds are comfy. Good location. Walkable distance to many places.

Could definitely use some upgrades. I had a suite, but some of the chairs were so grungy I wouldn't dare sit in them. And the elevator broke down so I was walking to the 7th floor. 😒

Refund!
There was no heat in the room. The heater did not work. Its 20 degrees outside. It was not feasible to stay. We left and i was told your company must refund my money. It cant be legal to charge for a room that doesn't have heat. Room reeked of cigarettes

If you don't care for cigarette smell, no ice machine, slightly dirty room, and cheap rooms. This hotel is for you. Service was okay, receptionist was nice. Close to downtown Boise and sushi place, which was a plus for us. To be frank, it did justice for us. Especially for just one night.

There were several homeless/transient/houseless people obviously placed there; not all, but most were very impolite, rude, and several (at least 6 times over 3 days) asked me for money or food I could spare. The people in the room next to me smoked cigarettes on the balcony and the smoke wafted into my room when I had the sliding door open for fresh air…my laptop and business papers were stolen from in front of my door when I stepped onto elevator for only a brief moment; the room was somewhat clean, there was dust/dirt on floor, table and counter, the bathroom floor was dirty, the tub had yummy film on sides, the shower door had soap scum and the vanity mirrors were smeared. The bed was comfortable. The sofa and chairs were very outdated, dirty, and stained. Lighting was poor. Great view of the mountains and downtown city. Staff was pleasant, only one person available at front most times I stopped by, could not help locate my stolen property, told me to cal police, police responded, but people in room next door refused to answer door. Many many many visitors and noise with the “housed” people. Food was good. Atmosphere with all the homeless/transient people was very offsetting. I will not stay here again.
