Worse stay we have ever had
We have stayed at this property several times and this was the worst ever. I understand that due to the fires in the area that the hotel would be busy but this was on a whole different level. More people in some rooms than I am sure are allowed. The noise not only from the neighbors but from the people upstairs. The upstairs room had people stomping, jumping and moving furniture until 130am! We went the first time to the front desk to see if we could move and were told it would cost us extra because cleaning left for the day. It was white and then around 1130 was woken up by what sounded like jumping, called the front desk but nothing happened. This constant stomping when on until 130. When I callled the front desk again they said that they were told by the guest in the room that they have been asleep for hours and not sure what they are talking about. This is when the noise finally stopped so got a little bit of sleep. We will not be staying here again

Basic but better than others in this class.
Good: Older building, but rooms renovated fairly recently, probably last five years or so. Hotel was completely full due to many fire evacuees like myself, but room service staff was exceptional and did great job of keeping everything clean despite crowd. Vinyl plank floors make for clean rooms. Bed very comfy. Room was very quiet despite crowd. Everything worked. Pool clean, although it was winter and no one was using it. Overall, definitely one of the better Motel 6's or other places in this class and much better than I was expecting. Bad (all fairly minor): No blackout curtains, sunrise brings in lots of light. No smart TV means no streaming services. Front desk staff varied, some were good but most were not very interested or helpful. Location is not anywhere near Old Town Pasadena despite name, very deceptive listing. Area is a bit run down but OK, some homeless people were in the area but not bothersome. Coffee but no breakfast, but Denny's two blocks away.

Overall: Much better than expected for a Motel 6
Overall: Much better than I was expecting for a Motel 6, but not great. Mostly Good: Clean, smallish rooms (not tiny though), very attentive room service everyday, clean vinyl plank flooring, comfortable bed, fairly quiet (minor freeway noise overnight, not enough to bother me, and I’m a very light sleeper). Older building but rooms appear to have been renovated within last five years or so. The room has very basic features: noisy wall mounted HVAC w/ rudimentary controls; fridge and micro but no countertop area, sink (other than bathroom), plates, utensils, etc; non-smart TV, so no access to Netflix, etc. Everything worked though, bathroom very clean, overhead showerhead a bit funky and about half the spouts were clogged or not working. Biggest Con: Wifi quirky and unreliable. System disconnects your device from the wifi after one hour, every hour, and you have to try to reconnect, which frequently took numerous tries or didn’t work. Multiply this by phone, tablet, and laptop, and I had to go through this clunky process about 15 times a day. This problem was exacerbated by lack of a smart TV, which means you have to use laptop to watch Netflix/Amazon Prime etc., but you are interrupted every hour to reconnect to wifi. The place is advertised as Old Town Pasadena, which is deliberately deceiving as it is nowhere near the desirable Old Town section of Pasadena and is instead several miles away in a somewhat run down, area of town. Homeless folks were harmless though.

Needs fumigation
The bed was too firm, cockroach running across the floor, safe had corroded batteries, no shampoo, lotion or conditioner, the smoke alarm chirped continually. Requested a room downstairs and was told did not have one available but the place did not fill up. When in town, we will not be staying here again.
