We did read the reviews and got slightly concerned, however we always like to judge for ourselves. I was hoping this would be a new spot we'd love to stay at when in Sydney for work but we won't be returning. Firstly it says the hotel has parking but on arrival, we got told they don't. Thankfully, the gentleman let us stay in the car park for a $50 charge which is fine - we always expect to pay for parking in Sydney. Secondly, we read the lift was working on a review from 3 weeks ago. The lift still isn't working and they said it's going to be a while. Thirdly, we had no towels in our room so had to request we got some from reception. When we had a shower we discovered there was a massive leak in the seal and water went all over the floor of the whole room that doesn't have a rug. We also read about this issue on a review from weeks ago. You think they wouldn't still put people in that room until the issue is fixed. The room number is 320! And lastly, they did move us to a new room after I requested it because our floor was covered in water. We found 2 large cockroaches in the new room. The gentleman who served us was very understanding and kind and did also seem embarrassed because of these issues that I feel are ongoing problems for this hotel but have just not been looked at properly. On check out, I did inform the new receptionist of our issue and he was quite arrogant about it all but did comp our parking. If they fix up some basic things, this hotel could be ok.

I have been wanting to stay at OH for quite a while. The hotel is nice & well located to Darlinghurst & Paddington. Room was huge (Terrace room - 2 bathrooms, lounge & bed) but the road noise was terrible. The lift was broken for our entire stay, being on the third floor & lugging cases up & down the stairs was not ideal. Given free cocktails at the pool but couldn’t use them as the pool bar closed quite early. Two air con systems but one was leaking & luckily not the one that had my phone under it charging! Overall I think it’s okay but the Oxford Street road noise will put me off staying again.

I liked that it was an old building with new renovations. I like that they allowed us to change rooms when the ac unit leaked water. However in the first room there was a cockroach in it. Showers in both rooms leaked all over the floor and the door to the shower would push the rug when getting out of the shower, but overall it was a nice place to stay. Pool was gorgeous and quiet.

The property was well located to the allianz stadium, it took us about 7 mins to walk there which was awesome. Just down Oxford road is a plethora of restaurants. We also walked from the hotel to the Opera House stopping at the Anzac Memorial. The rooms all have queen beds, small bathroom with shower. There are the basic coffee, tee, Nespresso, small fridge. I loved that the room was not cluttered with furniture which was not needed. We didn’t take advantage of the pool restaurant/bar as I was travelling with a minor. I absolutely loved the hotel and the staff were amazing.

There wasn’t anything that I didn’t like about Oxford House. Everything was really good. I loved the decor and colours of my room, textures were superb. Beautiful pool and dining area. Outstanding friendly helpful staff. I have never in 50 years of travelling found staff like this at OH Linda room 207

CJ and the other staff we absolutely fantastic very welcoming! Highly rated. The room was absolutely fine, small but that was all that was needed. The bed was very comfortable. The only thing I would say is the music from the closed pool bar was loud and not needed as there was no one there as closed. It was loud until 9.30pm and then music came on at about 8am. I could hear through my window. I would also say the smell from the kitchens was quite intense down the hallway but wasn’t in my room. But 10/10 for staff
