I don’t think I’ve ever really given a poor review, but I’m a bit cheesed off after staying at this hotel.
I did raise all issues upon check out, but was met with a bit of a ‘oh well’, which has led me here. 2 night business trip stay.
- mattresses are literally the most basic there is. Super uncomfortable.
- pillows are very basic 1” thick and well used.
- I had no hot water for 1 evening/1 morning (50% of stay). Turns out no one did, but no communication so stood there trying to run a shower for ages hoping it would get hot. It didn’t. Just slide a bit of paper under the door to let me know like any other hotel.
- breakfast is the cheapest, most basic quality food. It’s a buffet but served to you by a guy who literally threw it all on the plate in a big pile, massive inconvenience for him.
- raised issues on check out, especially about the water, and wasn’t even told it was a problem. I only knew from speaking to other guests at breakfast. Was met with a bit of a ‘oh well’.
The only good thing is the on site restaurant- really decent food! Must be independent from the breakfast. Food was great, good service and choice of beers.
