I hope that in the description of the oceanview rooms, they would mention if balcony is part of the room. The beach is getting eroded but it is not hotel problem but climate result. I’ve stayed at a few different all-inclusive places on the Riviera Maya and when it comes to food and services, Playacar Palace was top of the list. Pros: Smaller size all-inclusive A-la-Carte restaurants food and service top notch Cafe has delicious treats and drinks Beach restaurant has delicious menu and a pizza oven outside Drinks aren’t too watered down Staffs are amazing! All rooms have some sort of view of the ocean (We stayed in the walkout suite oceanfront and it was amazing!) Near 5th Ave shopping area Near Cozumel Ferry Family friendly Cons: Buffet options were good but lacks variation from day to day Only one single pool that stretched from the kiddie pool to the pool bar Even though beachfront but depending on the season is covered in seaweed and can’t really be enjoyed. (I commend all the hard workers who start their day trying to clear the beach of the seaweed but Mother Nature always prevail) Overall, I would highly recommend this resort and will definitely stay again but maybe when it’s not seaweed season 😂

Excellent property the only issue was the beach which is small , very close to playa del Carmen pier and full of algae,also we couldn’t enjoy at one of the top restaurants since was booked and we couldn’t go with kids . Other than that everything was amazing , personnel very helpful, the coffee in the small cafe at the entrance was amazing as well as the crepes, in the main dinning we were well care by the restaurant manager , he prepared a taco night and parrillada night for my group , hotel is less than a block away from 5th Ave in Playa del Carmen shopping street. In summary , strongly recommend

The location was great, a one block walk to the mall and 5 th avenue. The beach and the water were beautiful although high tide kept us off it often. The food was great, restaurants booked up early though so we didn’t try them all.

What I liked most about the resort was that it was smaller so everything was so accessible. The food was fantastic especially at the a la carte restaurants as well as the pool side restaurant. The beach was incredible. The one thing that I wasn't a fan of was the diamond members being able to reserve pool side chairs and umbrellas and sometimes not showing up until noon or not showing up at all. Also, the only thing that was missing at the breakfast buffet was a toaster. Ither than that, everything was great. I would definitely return in a heartbeat. Also, the palace resorts app made any request so easy and staff were very prompt.

My family of 4 stood here for a week. The staff was amazing. We took beautiful family pictures. The nightly shows were surprisingly very good! The hotel is situated near 5th Avenue where you can enjoy shopping. We were ridiculously close to the ferry. The playroom for kids was GREAT. My children preferred to be there most days. The experience at the spa was great. The buffet food, room service, and the specialty restaurants were also very good. Would recommend 10/10.
