We enjoyed our stay at Grand Hotel Brighton. The service was impeccable. It elevated the whole experience at the hotel despite some hits and misses. Every staff was professional and friendly (even their uniform was tastefully designed). The lobby and lounge were beautiful, giving us a really good impression of the hotel. However, while we were aware of the history of the hotel, the bathroom was a bit tricky to use. It was obviously dated and needed some refurbishment work. The water pressure was very strong, but the leaking was inevitable too. This resulted in a very humid room with weak ventilation. And the toilet was kind of hard to flush. The room itself was reasonable. It was definitely comfortable. We were also surprised by the movie entertainment offered. Breakfast was very nice too. We often got a window table with a sea view.

Fabulous
Fantastic service and very friendly staff. We were really well looked after. There were always staff available in the bar/ eatery asking if we needed anything - rare ( but very welcome in these days of minimal staffing). Nothing was too much trouble! A delightful stay in a great location

Highly recommend - get a sea view if possible
Amazing hotel - stayed in a Junior Suite with Balcony so I had a view of the sea. Room was a great size with all the amenities needed - I would have liked a bath but this is not enough of a downside to rate this stay as anything less then 5 stars. There is an issue with the lifts at the time of my visit so it meant that there was a large delay in them arriving, but as the hotel is going through refurbishments i'm sure this is being addressed. As a Solo Traveller I did find that the staff in the lounge didn't approach me to take an order as they assumed "I was waiting for someone else" so I would recommend training the staff that women do have a glass of wine alone to read a book in 2025, but other then this the staff were friendly and professional

perfect location
Beautiful old hotel right by the sea and close to everything. The hotel has old charm and glamour, but needs some updating. We stayed in a room that hadn't been refurbished (we were told that all rooms should be done by April 2025). Room basically had no window since it was facing the opposite wall less than one meter away. I would definetely recommend to book a room that faces sea or atleast a streetview unless it is just a place to sleep. We picked a hotel based on availability of parking but that really is not an issue. We found plenty of parking garages right in the center so if you don't mind walking 200 meters, there's no need to book a hotel with parking.

I had absolutely no sleep in the room w partially sea view.. There was like no window, that much noise and all coming from outside not possible to sleep even though we asked for silent rooms. Just ran away w early check out and could not even want to see more of the city, unfortunately...

Great stay
This is a lovely hotel with great service and it is close to a lot of the things that one would want to do and see in Brighton (the Beach, The Lanes). We pulled up to the valet for a restful stay and nice dinner and when we left, they had the bags in our car ready to go. The restaurant staff are amazing too!

Wonderful stay at The Grand
Another wonderful stay at The Grand. The staff are so friendly and welcoming. Our room looked brand new and was very spacioud and comfortable. Loved having a fridge in the room. Drinks at the bar are a rreat. Had the best cocktail I've had in ages - Tiramisu Martini. Delicious! Its always a treat staying at The Grand. We'll be back

Disappointed
Considering this is one of Brightons 'flagship' hotels, we were a little undewhelmed. Service in the bar was very slow and unpersonal. Then, when we went to bed there was an awful vibrating coming from the wall at the head of the bed. We asked to change rooms for the night, which we did, but no mention of this was made when we checked out. Overall we were rather disappointed with our stay
