The hotel overall was very nice, clean, good facilities, and the rooms spacious. Staff were mostly very friendly. The food and drinks were of good quality, but ridiculously overpriced. I understand there are overheads to making a portion of chips and a half pint of draft cola, but £9.00 is going too far. I hear the alcoholic drinks were even more ludicrous.
A couple of other points to mention, there was no wheelchair access to the main bar area that any of us could find. I had thought this was a requirement for hospitality nowadays? Also, some of your staff may require a little "retraining" in customer relations, and complaining to your guests about prams being in the main area, when you are hosting an event that will have prams in attendance is not good. I understand that they should not be blocking access areas, but instead of just walking past and stating clearly that they had to be moved, perhaps, suggest "where" they should be moved to, and offer some assistance, instead of us having to faff about and find another spot ourselves.
