Exactly the hotel we needed
My husband and I had such a unique and wonderful experience here. Yes, our room had no TV or AC, yet it was exactly what we needed - pure peace and relaxation. We booked the ground floor sea front room so we had the beach just steps away. The sound of the waves were soothing and waking up to the sunrise right in front of your room was priceless. We didn't wear shoes once while there since there are a bunch of restaurants within walking distance on the beach side - so we had no need to leave the hotel. We were even able to walk to the Tulum ruins from the beach.

An amazing place
After reading the last review, I got a bit sceptical. But for us, we had a totally different experience. This place is truely magical. We got an upgraded room, everyone working here are very serviceminded, the whole place is beautiful. It's so quiet and peaceful. Keep this in mind when booking. Only downside, is the foodoptions around, not really any autentic mexican food (and prices for the options around are expensive, like all of Tulum). But the vibe of this place is truely something. The most beautiful hotel in all of the jaguar nationalpark.

DO NOT STAY HERE!!!
Extremely poor standard of the room. Room was dirty and not properly cleaned upon arrival nor during the days we stayed there. Poor service from the staff. Spiders and animals in the room. Holes in the furniture. Overall my worst experience from any hotel so we decided to check out early and find a new place to stay. Not worth the money you are paying. The location is absolutely amazing right at a magical beach. But there others hotel in the area, choose them instead! Just be aware that it’s a very quiet place and all restaurants close early.

Daniel and the staff at Playa esperanza was excellent, over and beyond comfortable stay. Being amongst nature and the beach is few steps away. I recommend this hotel to everyone.

The beach is right at the hotel and it’s amazing! The cottages are simple but equipped with everything you need. The restaurant closes at 6pm - however there is a place nearby where you can get delicious Thai food. Also the staff is very friendly and welcoming. If you want to leave the area (nature park) it’s quite a trip to Tulum - so we’d recommend a rental car as taxis are expensive in that area. You have to pay the park entrance fee which is 60 pesos per person per day.

Playa Esperanza have my Heart. It is a beautiful place located in the jungle and beach and it was very quiet and loved every minute staying in the nature. Host were too friendly, kind, helpful and very understanding. I highly recommend this place to get away from all your worries and enjoy your stay with nature.

Increible hotel
Ame este hotel... Nuestra estacion fue simplemente espectacular... Las habitaciones son super romanticas y tienen un contacto tan tan especial con la naturaleza. De verdad que es un lugar espectacular. Eso si para entrar consideren que les van a cobrar el brazalete porque esta dentro del parque nacional de Tulum y hay guardia nacional y NOOO dejan meter nada de botellas de plastico asi que si llevas te las van a tirar. A pesar de que hay que pagar un brazalete cada dia vale totalmente la pena es una joya de hotel.

Playa Esperanza is the perfect place to unwind, it’s super ideal for a couples getaway or honeymoon. All the staff is super nice and helpful. The only downside for me, it’s that not all of their rooms have AC, they’re an eco friendly hotel and there is no fridge, iron or hair dryer, and they shut the power for a couple of hours as they are running on generators. But I love that they care about the environment!
