A mixed stay at a renovated older property.
The positives: The hotel appears to be a nicely updated 1980s-era building, and the lobby and indoor courtyard have a charming, unique look and feel.
The downsides:
Poor soundproofing: Conversations from the adjacent room were clearly audible, making it difficult to relax.
Inconsistent renovations: While some areas were updated, the phone in the room appeared to be original. A TV was mounted on the wall, but the cable was poorly installed and stapled haphazardly along the wall.
Allergenic environment: I experienced a significant allergic reaction to something in the room, which I suspect may be related to the pet-friendly policy.
Noise and price: The overall noise level made it hard to get a quiet night's sleep, and the stay was very expensive for the quality of the experience provided.
