Our second stay, part of a longer trip.
The hotel was clean and comfortable and the staff were very friendly and helpful.
Only a quick stopover but we managed a pleasant walk round the nearby dock area.
The breakfast was a good varied selection and the hot breakfast is refreshed regularly.
All in all a very pleasant stay and we’re looking forward to returning for a longer stay.

The room is clean enough and the staff are friendly. However the hotel is tired. The room is tiny and is billed as a standard Queen room - the bed is NOT a queen size and for the cost it is definitely not good value on any level. Also £19 per night (discounted!) car parking is a shocker when I have paid nearly £600 for 2 nights. We are both disabled and to be fair didn’t tell them, don’t actually have to but have to say that being on the fourth floor at the far end of the corridor is ok unless you get to the room on the second day only to discover that the room key hadn’t been reactivated. Then had to go all the way back to reception to collect the new key.
Breakfast was poor, overcooked and soggy. Hash browns full of fat, fried eggs hard, black pudding like rocks.
Tried to complain to 2 under managers about the extortionate rates for a tiny room and bathroom but was told they didn’t set the rates and they were higher because Liverpool were playing. I get that but I expect better amenities. Interesting that the photo for the hotel shows the jacuzzi - no mention that the ceiling had collapsed on it a month ago and it is awaiting a replacement so no jacuzzi. Also just to be petty, no biscuits replenished during the housekeeping service. Feel throughly ripped off and let down. Would have happily discussed with someone but no one interested.
