During our stay, we had an incident where we thought someone was trying to enter our room cause we heard the door shut. We immediately reported it to the front desk. The hotel staff took our complaint very seriously and began investigating right away.
They kept us informed throughout the process, providing regular updates on their progress. To ensure our safety and peace of mind, they promptly offered to switch our room. The hotel checked the smart door access records. They discovered that the door hadn't been completely shut, causing it to eventually close on its own. Despite the situation being a misunderstanding, the staff's thorough investigation and detailed explanations were very reassuring.
We were very impressed with the hotel's commitment to guest safety and their professional handling of the situation. Their prompt response and dedication to resolving our concerns were exceptional. We highly recommend this hotel for their excellent customer service and attention to detail.

Wonderful just not next to the elevator
Stayed because it was very close to Stanford hospital. I checked in late got settled in my bed to find the loudest noise ever that went off constantly. When I called the front desk they informed me it was the elevator and that was it. When checking out I informed the manager that the room should not be occupied and after letting her listen to several videos she gave me 50% off my room and was very apologetic. Other then the elevator the hotel was wonder, very clean, comfortable bed and close to the hospital.

Property is a Construction Zone right now
Property undergoing major construction - not informed in advance. Front entrance, lobby and hallways are in shambles. The tile around the pool is removed. Elevators out of order, ice machine on our floor out of order, construction started @ 10 AM New Year’s Day. We were there for a local late night NYE party and morning quiet respite. Could not comfortably sleep in.
Room was clean and as expected.
Employee @ front desk took forever to check us in, very polite and chatty - but his colleague checked in 4 guests while he assisted us. Unsolicited he was repeatedly disparaging of Union members - not knowing anything about us. Not cool.
Not a pleasant stay for a Bonvoy Elite member with hundreds of nights on Marriott properties - first critical review ever left - very disappointed.

Can’t trust the staff
Had a microwave sent to the room while we were out to dinner on our first night and returned to find medication and clothing was stolen. An incident and police report were filed and the hotel did what they could to rectify the situation but since we were staying at the hospital that week we didn’t feel as if our belongings were secured. Front desk staff was friendly and helpful and accommodating after I had surgery but the security of our room is such an issue that we probably will not be returning which is a shame because it’s centrally located to the hospital and a clean property
