Highly Recommend
I had a fantastic stay at Six Brunton Place during my visit to Edinburgh! The location is unbeatable and just a short walk to restaurants, shops, attractions, and conveniently close to both train and bus routes. Hilary, the host, was incredibly responsive and accommodating, making the booking and check-in process seamless and stress-free. Review of 6 Brunton Place
We enjoyed our stay at 6 Brunton Place. The building itself was grand and impressive with very nice decor. Our room was very cosy and comfortable. The continental breakfast had a good selection and wss very tasty. The hotel is well situated and a gentle stroll of 5 to 10 minutes takes you into the city fentre.

6 Brunton Place was a step back in time, but with all the subtle amenities and luxuries of modern day! Our host Hillary was impeccable, polite, friendly, and very informative. The breakfasts were superb, well laid out, and beautifully placed. The furnishings were well cared for,. Pieces, and made you feel like you were back in time. The accommodations provided clean and quiet rooms, spacious enough to spread out yet cozy enough to call home for a few days. The heated floor in the bathroom was a bonus! it was a lovely neighborhood, just across from Carlton Hill. was very walkable to all locations, Including the palace of Holyrood house, walking trails, and the city proper. I would surely return to 6 Brunton Place again, and highly recommend it.

Spotless. Lovely decor with carefully curated items that evoke earlier times. Bed very comfortable. Robes and toiletries were a pleasure. Enjoyed the tub and separate shower. Breakfast was delicious. The location is only a short walk from Holyrood Palace and the Royal Mile. Hosts were congenial and were helpful about a forgotten item.

Adorable lugar, atención personal por parte de Hillary, ubicado en una antigua casa que esta bellamente decorada y acondicionada como hotel. El desayuno es bueno. Está cómodamente ubicado a 10 minutos caminando del Tram que te trae del aeropuerto, con paradas de Bus enfrente para ir a Dean Village , Circus Lane y yate Britannia. Initial communication with owner was fine. Room was TINY. Basically walk in and climb into the bed. Parking in the area 30 GBP per night (free on weekends). Breakfast was continental (cereal, fruit, cheese, toast, yogurt, croissants, juice, tea and coffee). Subsequent communication with owner marginal. First night of 3 night stay I asked her to re-list the room for our 3rd night as I wished to leave early but wanted to be sensitive to her bookings. She refused. We ended up leaving a day early and forfeiting the cost of the 3rd night. Our last morning the owner got into a debate with another couple about storing their luggage for 3 hours while they sightseed a bit prior to pickup by a tour company. That should have been a no brainer in the hospitality business. The owner eventually relented and stored the luggage. However, the initial answer should have been "Certainly!", not a long-winded hi-brow attitude from the owner. Finally, a baggie full of GBP coins disappeared from our room. Could not have been more than10 GBP worth of coins but it is the principle, not the monetary value. Unfortunately, I cannot recommend. There are many better options in Edinburgh.

Sehr nette Gastgeberin und Personal. Schön eingerichtet, schöne Badezimmer, sehr gutes Frühstück. Zimmer zwar etwas klein und ohne Schrank (dafür eine Kommode), aber sonst top. Direkt hinter einem kleinen Hügel, über den man mit einem kurzen Fußweg und wahnsinns Ausblick über die Stadt mitten in die Innenstadt gelangt. Sogar genau dort, wo die Sightseeing Busse starten.

Six Brunton was the perfect location for our 3 night stay. The accommodations were cozy and comfortable and the breakfast was plentiful. Hillary and the staff ensured that we had everything we needed. Within 30 minutes, you can walk to just about anywhere you want to go in Old Town or New Town. It was also easy to get an Uber when needed. The Herringbone restaurant across the street is great for dinner and/or drinks. Highly recommend!

Lovely Georgian House
Everything was clean and very comfortable. Breakfast was amazing. We would stay here again. The location was great for us. The only complaint is the slight musty smell in the basement room. They did have a deodorizer, however I couldn’t sleep with it under my night stand. I’m allergic to fragrances. The staff was very friendly and accommodating.

The staff were very friendly. There are many bus routes that pass in front of the hotel that will take you downtown. Hotel is very cozy and we really enjoyed the breakfast.

Host was very welcoming and property unique. Host was informative and always on hand to answer any questions. Complimentary small bottle of wine went down well and was a nice touch. Hotel and rooms were spotless, cleaned and re-stocked every day. Bathroom provided everything you could possibly need. Would definitely stay here again.
